You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that endofthelinefinally’s beautiful son has suddenly died. She describes him as kind, clever, good looking and talented, but troubled. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to him and them all. We send endofthelinefinally and her family our love and are so sorry. Thanks

We are so glad that she has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can. There will be love and memories crafted into every stitch. We hope it will be a real tribute to her wonderful son. Endoftheline’s thread is here if you would like to add a message. Thanks

So we are now asking for help once again Sad Thanks

We need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) Thanks If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM us with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, we can help you with all of it. Thank you doesn’t even come close.

Thanks

    Endoftheline says..
My darling boy had a favourite island. His funeral flowers were bright and colourful sunflowers and blue shades to represent the sun and the sea.
They used orchids and palm leaves for a tropical feel. He loved the sun and the sea.
He was known to his friends as "superman" and they made cupcakes and superman badges for the wake.
He was a brilliant IT and finance expert.
I saved the beautiful butterflies from his flowers to put next to his photograph.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
    Thank you so much
    xxx

Together we can make something very beautiful for them all.

Simple or complex, made by beginner or expert, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts. There is support for buying colours on our website, here. Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Previous blankets can be seen on our website If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

So sad that another blanket is needed.

endofthelinefinally, we are thinking of you, your family and your wonderful boy and sending our love.

We don't have any initials, do we? I've moved on to embellishments and don't want to do all butterflies.

Re- Tunisian crochet, the current issue of the magazine Inside crochet has a free gift Tunisian hook and a short article on using it.

I'll do squares too. Knitted though as I haven't tried the Tunisian crochet yet!

Zing - sorry, only just seen your comment. It was a free pattern, mine came out slightly different, my petals curled so I caught each one in the backing square as I went round.
