Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe - imprisoned Iranian mother - Woolly Hug?

I've been following this case for a while; it's so sad. Could we do something - a woolly hug or some yarn bombing? Someone has posted in the 'In The News' topic, saying it's Nazanin's 'wool' wedding anniversary coming up.

Hello Everyone. Devestating news today. Poor poor Ricy, Naz and Gabby. Thank you all so much for your support. The wool sent by PeaceOfWildThings was put to very got use at Ricky and Naz's wedding anniversary, tying knotts onto the Millennium Bridge in London. Ricky would love the Kinship Hug and we would defintily be able to get Gabby hers. Naz at this moment I'm not so sure as they do not allow anything in the prision but it would be something Ricky could keep for her when she gets out - and she will somehow. At one stage we throught my father-in-law would be able to go over but as yet he has not bee granted a visa - this may change.

Hello, I saw the terrible news about Nazanin last night. So devastating and extremely sad to see the photos of her with the beautiful daughter she is now separated from. My thoughts turned to woolly hugs, wondering if there would be any place for them in this situation and then I stumbled upon this thread this morning. Please do count me in if you need any extra squares or joining. Elsa I'm really glad you found this thread. My thoughts are with you and the extended family, and of course with Ricky, Gabby and Nazanin herself

I'm glad that the yarn I sent was used for their anniversary. I was thinking of you!

Sorry to hear the very sad news of Nazanin's 5 year prison sentence. I would like to make squares to help out. I'm not sure which colourway, so will include a square of each, if I can.

Thank you for coming back Elsa, am so sorry this is happening, and particularly sorry that at the mo we can't get anything to Nazanin, at this time at least. If this changes, please come back.

But we are very glad that we can make something very special and cosy for Gabby, and we would like to get on this as soon as possible.

We are suggesting a kinship blanket for Gabriella in our vintage colour way as in the pic, info below, and will need 6 and 12 inch squares to do this. We do have some ready, but will need more. We would like to make a blanket that G can grow into and that one day will be able to share with her wonderful mum.
