Posted in Chat but the lovely ladies pointed me in this direction.

I enjoy making fancy baby shawls (around 36 in square) but I don't have friends with babies at the moment. is this sort of thing any good for Woolly Hugs?

This is an example of one I did. I love doing them but I find it hard to be motivated when I don't have anyone in mind!

I use Peter Pan yarn in DK or 4 ply (generally in white).

In white, it is so perfect our Angel Hug project....

It is slightly bigger than our size guidelines, but the hospital would love to receive it for an older baby and their family. The Mumsnet thread is here

We recommend using colours for our Little Hug project, as blankets do have busy lives, and need frequent washing. We now send to two hospitals,The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow (formerly at Yorkhill), and the Great North Children's Hospital, see here for all crafting info The Mumsnet thread is here

Hope all this info helps. We'd love to have you on board. We have a Facebook page too which is a good way to keep in touch, Woolly Hugs.

Again. sorry it took so long to get back to you, and THANK YOU Thanks
