Winston’s Wish are an amazing charity who help bereaved children re-adjust to life after the death of a parent or sibling, offering practical support and guidance. Winston’s Wish have helped many families within our Woolly Hugs and Mumsnet communities, and we are very pleased to be able to do something to help them now.

Up and down the country, fabulous folk have been making small craft items which we will sell through our Facebook Event page. Come and join us!

Do bear with us, we will acknowledge your purchase and reply to your PM asap!

So who has a chance of winning the Woolly Hug?

Oh blimey Ruby, hope the damage isn't too bad.

It was only 2ft deep, so we were remarkably lucky compared to others in the village. The place is drying out nicely and hopefully things will be sorted out soon. I think Christmas is cancelled though - we had to eat the Christmas dinner as it was in the dead freezer!

Report
SoupDragon · 09/12/2013 07:53

On the plus side, Ruby, you were getting the North Sea out of your house and not your house out of the North Sea... it looked utterly horrendous along the coast :(

Hope everything is sorted quickly!

Solo there are a couple of things left, yes, it was such a melee by Sunday, I think things got overlooked, will be bumping them a bit later today.

QOD - mostly yes I'm afraid, but not all - have a look at MNWoollyHUgs and find the event page.

all being sorted now thanks - have sent off a begging email to see if they can get a shift on delivering the washing machine - its not pleasant sharing the bath with clothes!

We were really fortunate to have just had water damage, most of the other properties had oil tank contamination.

At one point stood there in me wellies with the water lapping round my ankles (the place is raised 2ft off the ground) with the candlelight flickering and the woodburner belting heat out - it did remind me a bit of the Titanic.

I can say that it was an experience, so had the earthquake a few years back - can I opt out of fire and a plague of boils? I know I've been hideously bad in the past but I think I've paid my dues now!

Soupy - such a kind offer, but I'm blowed if I know what you sent to WW.
