Has his position shifted ever so slightly?

He had Katy Montgomery and Baroness Claire Fox on talking about the protests at Oxford University last night. He did seem to be pushing back a bit against Monty.

Monty got more time, I felt and stated blatant untruths, but Baroness Fox did a good job of countering them.

31st June? Is this a kind of sign/metaphor?

Oops! I'll see if I can get the date changed - I'm clearly wishing my life away, never mind the fact that June only has 30 days!

Didn't hear much of a push-back from JV to be honest. I wish someone would challenge KM when KM claims that the EHRC are planning on 'changing' the Equality Act when all they are proposing is to clarify existing legislation as it's been muddied by years of misinformation by lobbyists. Inevitable email responses from pro-trans voices with a couple of GC opinions thrown in as an afterthought after the piece had finished.

Monty sounding very male and being his usual hyperbolic self!

Claire Fox was very good…managed to get in Sports and prisons. JV said it is always toilets that are the issue . CF made it clear this was one of many concerns that womens have and why. KM had very little of use to contribute.

Referring to Katy Montgomerie as a feminist is the first untruth.

As soon as Montgomery opens their mouth, hyperbole, piss poor takes and dishonesty comes out.

Seriously, Montgomery 'fears' losing access to women's toilets. And asks how any male trans person can go to university if they cannot access women's toilets?

Montgomery is an extremist.

And Montgomery simply speaks over everyone. They are a very poor panel member. I wonder why media invite them on.

Did anyone ask if Montgomery has fears for the women who can't use any toilets because Montgomery uses the women's despite being male?

Or worry about how those women can go to university if male people won't permit them to have accessible toilets?

Seems a bit odd that we're supposed to be upset for the male people but the female people they've done this to don't matter?

I had to switch off as I was trying to concentrate on work and the first 5 minutes was purely about public toilets (again!) ffs.

I daresay that Montgomerie doesn't care. They position themselves as a feminist but have not got the first fucking clue.

For them it is all about the 'misogyny' that Montgomerie experiences. I am sad to hear that Montgomerie is so often sexually assaulted. However, that doesn't mean that Montgomerie should be in any female single sex space.

They absolutely feel they have that right. Sorry Montgomerie. A right that you and others assumed and effectively took as your own but was NEVER your's to start with, is not a right that you should expect to continue to access.

The time is up. Montgomerie and all those male people who feel they should have access to female spaces needed to have campaigned for their own spaces. They need to start to do this now.

KM had nothing. Toilets and, erm, toilets.

So campaign for toilets then. Problem solved.
