Hi all

I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Sociology at Queens University Belfast. Two years ago I graduated with a BA in Women's Studies. I am funded by the Department of Education and my study has been ethically approved, will be confidential and anonymous.

4 and a half years ago, when I was 21, I gave birth to my daughter. As a result of my experiences with the maternity services in Northern Ireland, I became interested in the stories other mothers tell about their experiences.

I am especially interested in women who have recently given birth in Northern Ireland , and were aged 20 to 25 years old.

So if you are interested, or would like to hear more about the study, please get in touch Mumsnet, on 07716032891 or email [email protected].

Thank you for reading this, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Jennifer

thanks for the replies guys

i have not yet tried rollercoaster - i've just googled it, so thanks v much for that (and the bumping - had to google that too ;-)! )

myrtle is indeed still there - she taught me at undergrad and helped to foster my feminism!

if i ever finish my thesis (!) i hope to broaden the scope of my research and look at all-Ireland, so I may well be down Munster-way someday :-)

booyhoo, i'll be in touch - you sound just right

Rollercoaster has a birth board, and I think a few doula/AIMS people use it so you might get contacts that way. Prof. Hill is amazing, she used to be in a pub quiz team with my dh.
