No need for me to have a view, DP can tell me how to vote.

Mumsnet election? Pah!

All of our electoral material comes addressed to DP. I get nothing. I suppose I am meant to ask him how to vote or somefin?

First party to send something with my name on it gets my vote (naturally BNP, Tories, UKIP are excluded from this offer).

Anyone else in this situation?

Neither of us has received anything yet.

Election guff comes to our house without anyone's name on - just door to door leaflet drops.

antoinettechigur · 17/04/2010 18:56

maybe they are only targetting DP

We've had a ton of stuff, addressed to both me, DP and neither.

Probably due to how you've responded to canvassing. DP and I vote the same way and tell the canvassers that so we'll get targetted by the same people (which seems to be everyone at the moment, but there we go!)

TheFirstLady · 17/04/2010 19:01

Nearly all of our stuff comes to me. I was assuming it was because the phone listing is in my name. But maybe they realise DH votes the way I tell him.

antoinettechigur · 18/04/2010 13:56

OK I'll try being less paranoid then!
It was just that when I lived alone it all came to me. Though DP is so sick of the leaflets that he wishes it was me getting them still

I've just experienced the same thing. The Tories have just left a leaflet addressed to DH and not me. They literally could not do anything else to annoy me more. I would vote UKIP before I voted Tory. Dammit, I would vote for that yogic flying party before them.

antoinettechigur · 18/04/2010 14:03

The yogic party haven't sent anything yet. They're missing a trick!

Antoinette, are you QUITE sure you are on the electoral register? - people do get left off by mistake.

I was worried this had happened to me until my polling card arrived because the Tories sent a letter to DH and my mum but not me. I use my maiden name so have same surname and initial as mum - don't know if that has anything to do with it. But am v. insulted.

Not that any of us intend to vote for them...

antoinettechigur · 18/04/2010 14:32

Yes, I have got my polling card and everything.
