Sheila Rowbotham is in this year's Marxism Festival line-up talking about her new book "Dreamers of a New Day: Women who invented the 20th Century". The event is in central London from 1-5 July. Website here

There's no schedule on the website yet. I'll probably struggle to go for more than one day, so might get a ticket on the door for the day Sheila is speaking. Slavoj Zizek is always good value too!

I used to go every year! It's great, isn't it? I've seen some brilliant speakers.

I've only been the once, but I thought it was bloody brilliant, even the v dry talks on economics I went to

The next London feminism conf is in late October I think: I'd love to go to that too. And I've already decided to take DD on the next Reclaim the Night march, but I think that's in November.

Would be fab to have some MN feminist meetups!

couldn't we organise our own feminist festival - i used to organise a womens event each year over one weekend. o it was fun - we used to have brilliant speakers and the socials were fun fun fun!!!
