Nope.

Not remotely the same. It is not about 'who matters more'. It's about who is included within a category. Sex is a factual category. It is not an opinion.

A lot of people dont think there is any need for single sex spaces that arent inclusive to trans people as their chosen gender. So yep, they think trans people being included as their chosen gender matters more than anyone having a single sex space. That is their opinion. Your opinion differs. Just so you don't lose track, your opinion is that people having single sex spaces is more important that trans people feeling included as their chosen gender.

Both views are just personal opinions. They aren't facts.

Do you understand the difference between opinion and fact?

So like when TRA issue rape threats, death threats and threats of violence to women for saying men cannot access female spaces, call women bigots and transphobes for defending their sex based rights and disrupt women meeting to discuss their rights? I mean, how many protests have we seen with placards saying “kill à terf” and “the only good terf is a dead one”? I do assume these are the people you are taking about….

Yes this isn't about saying only GC people do this. I'm saying anyone with any view, especially when they've been radicalised on the internet, can think like that. It doesnt matter if you are pro or against the issue or what the issue is.

What does matter is where you've been nurturing these ideas and in what company.

I'm not sure if you know I've been stalked all over this site plus on Facebook by a GC person or people from here. Messages on here saying that they know who I am and that nobody should listen to me about totally unrelated subjects because I think TWAW (I don't). There was a time a few weeks ago where nearly every thread I was on would be hounded by the stalker(s). I think we all need to be mindful about radicalisation on the internet.

That's the thing - I don't need it. She used racist slurs - openly and happily - and pretended she didn't know they were offensive. You may want to defend that - though I can only think of one reason why - but I don't. I wouldn't want her anywhere near me and my family.

What if she pretended to be someone else?

What are facts?
Facts are definitely true.
They can be backed up with evidence.
For example:
Human beings reproduce via sexual reproduction ie by the combination of genetic information of two individuals of different sexes; a man and a woman.

What are opinions?
Your opinion is how you feel.
Other people might think differently, they have a different opinion.
For example:
Some people believe that their sex is irrelevant and that gives them the right to override laws and social norms.

Some people believe sex is irrelevant and gender is what matters. Some people believe sex is of absolute importance and matters most. Both are opinions.

People don't hsve to conceive with each other to become parents.

Especially in spaces where the majority of women are okay with trans inclusive/genderist policies.

Who knows whether the majority of women are okay with trans inclusive/gendersit policies? I can't recall anyone ever soliciting my opinion. I would imagine that in fact a majority of women would not be OK with "trans inclusive" policies if they stopped to really think what it involved. I would say that we just hope it won't affect us - until we see a trans identifying man insisting that he belongs in our changing rooms.

Yougov polls have show the majority want single sex spaces (and this increases further when the question is made clear - that ‘transwomen’ are men who identify as women not women who identify as men as a significant proportion of the population believe)

No, IVF, donation, and adoption... do you know any lesbians who are parents? Did they conceive with each other?

Can you explain what's funny? People don't have to make a baby with each other to become parents.

Lexibletheflexible · Today 07:18

PoisonCrystal · Today 07:16

Where do you think the babies come from? 😂

Babies are conceived. I don't have to conceive a baby with my husband for us to be that baby's parents. We could adopt a baby someone else conceived. I could conceived a baby through donation/IVF that we raise. We don't have to conceive the baby together for us to end up as that baby's parents.

Jeez.

Rockyroadminibites · Today 07:19

alcovecupboards · Yesterday 22:59

This case wasn't about single sex spaces. Perhaps you're confused?

It was about sss - it was about the failure of RCN to recognise their members had a right to sss and protect them.

And how is that baby created? 😂

Lexibletheflexible · Today 07:20

It may well be your opinion that the only way one is really a parent is if they conceive a child.

ArabellaScott · Today 07:21

When someone with the set of opinions that recognise sex meets someone else with the set of opinions that recognise sex, and they love each other very much...

Lexibletheflexible · Today 07:22

PoisonCrystal · Today 07:20

And how is that baby created? 😂

Through conception, but I don't have to conceive with my husband for us to become parents to another baby. We can become parents by conceiving with other people and raising the baby together, or through adoption of a baby we arent biologically related to.

That is what I said.

"People don't have to conceive with each other to become parents."

I cant believe people in here are unaware that two women can become the parents of a baby they didn't make together.

Why don’t lesbians conceive with each other? It one of the women identified as a man do you think that would help them conceive with each other?

No. Just simply that a baby requires 2 genetic inputs: sperm and an ova.

It also requires a female to gestate the baby in her womb at significant risk and cost to herself.
