Queue for the women’s loo at a big Brighton event.

As per usual, women’s loo is rammed, huge queue.

No queue for the men’s.

Waiting to change a leaking tampon.

And, amongst others, there are 4 people ahead of me, clearly biologically male, presenting as female.

And later on, at the same event, unable to send my 10 year old to the loo alone because there are transwomen using the loos and I do not send my child into spaces to get undressed where there are biological men also getting undressed.

I have zero problems with them wanting to present as female. I do have a problem with them taking up female space.

I can’t challenge this, as a woman with a child as I put myself in a vulnerable position. Yet again made to feel vulnerable by the needs of a man.

And society tells me to put up and shut up.

Sigh.

Is this the sort of 'sympathetic' trans female man you're referring to wrt to toilets, @Noras? See also the men insisting on using disabled toilets (and leaving them in exactly the state you'd expect) and buying radar keys in order to do so, despite having no disability other than a fondness for frocks. Meaning actually disabled people are having to wait because these fellas refuse to use the correct toilets.

You're not going to find 'sympathy' here.

Ah but @SmashedPatty it’s obviously the “evil and horrible cis-females” fault… you know from jealousy of how totally better, beautiful and delicate the trans are in womennning.

So what if no women choose to get pregnant? China is facing a crisis due to their historical one child policy and now women choosing not to have children. If no one chooses to have children, that’ll be an interesting future.

Yes, that's my point. Maybe if they (general they, not only China) need babies that bad they should make having them suck a little less shit, so more people will want to do it. And that's not even getting into the couples who might want kids but live in a 1-room flat because that's what they can afford on a double income. Either improve this stuff, or come up with a system that doesn't rely on breeding workers. There are several countries tumbling toward below replacement, and if they can't figure out how to treat people who could have babies better, tough shit.

Childbirth has never been appealing. For most of history it was a woman’s most life-threatening time.
Childbirth isn’t the reason women have children.

This is completely true and it's bone-chilling to me how many people died in childbirth, and it's still dangerous to this day. Despite that, I actually always thought that being pregnant seemed kinda awesome in a gnarly way. It's amazing our bodies can do that. It's the raising a whole human being from scratch that gave me pause. Seems very daunting and even people who have the best intentions can traumatize their kids. And that's before you add climate change, recession, looming wars and all the other stuff.

Childbirth is still the most life-threatening thing women do and this is the case in developed countries as well as - and more so - in less developed countries.

The whole of transgender ideology is a first world problem.
Your insistence that men can become women is a first world problem
Your insistence that 5 year olds have a gender ID is a first world problem.
Your insistence that girls be allowed to bind their breasts is a first world problem.
Your Marcuse/Foucault/Butler revolution is a first world problem.

Edited

It's not. This stupid ideology is being forced on everyone.

It's not. This stupid ideology is being forced on everyone.

It's a first world problem in that it's hugely predominating in the West/EU/Anglophone nations.
It hasn't penetrated many parts of Asia and Africa.
Only an arrogant ideology like GI could come out of Western nations fat on their success.
Can we imagine a Michel "words literally create reality" Foucault come out of China, Japan, Nigeria, Saudi etc?

I wonder if they were the ones in the queue desperate for the loo & about to have an accident would they wait it out to feel validated as a 'woman' or would they suddenly be okay to go in the mens.

Dunno no why they want to wait in that queue! I have no bloody idea why women take so long, they go into cubicles and bloody disappear, you never see them emerge again.

It's a thing called....periods.

I take it you're not a female.

You're being offensive. It's not 'people', it's women. Only women get pregnant. Only women die in childbirth.
