Queue for the women’s loo at a big Brighton event.

As per usual, women’s loo is rammed, huge queue.

No queue for the men’s.

Waiting to change a leaking tampon.

And, amongst others, there are 4 people ahead of me, clearly biologically male, presenting as female.

And later on, at the same event, unable to send my 10 year old to the loo alone because there are transwomen using the loos and I do not send my child into spaces to get undressed where there are biological men also getting undressed.

I have zero problems with them wanting to present as female. I do have a problem with them taking up female space.

I can’t challenge this, as a woman with a child as I put myself in a vulnerable position. Yet again made to feel vulnerable by the needs of a man.

And society tells me to put up and shut up.

Sigh.

It’s highly likely that’s that poster will only take into account the 4 males, the women also waiting are expendables who aren’t to be considered.

Throughout history women have had to fight for everything that was handed to men on a p,ate
We have to put with with periods ,being pregnant giving birth , maternity pay being a pittance ,going back to work to pay the bills leaving our child behind,less pay ,less promotion because they resent us having time of to recover after birth ..
Men have a far better deal in life ..I don't get why they would pretend to want to be a woman
But I do get why someone would feel they were a woman in a man's body and try to do everything they can to present as a woman and not stand out ..

You didn't reply to my earlier post, @TransParentlyAnnoyed, in which I told that I was raped by a man I didn't know in a public place and that's why I don't consent to share spaces where I am vulnerable with men I do not know. Consent is important, @TransParentlyAnnoyed.

My experience - and the experiences of millions of other women - illustrates with crystal clarity that some men are dangerous. How they dress or identify is immaterial. Your assertion that OP's daughter was in danger as being 'laughable' is questionable to say the least. It's telling, too, that you find the safety of a child something to laugh about.

It's frankly appalling that you dismiss women's concerns - women who are often rape/SA survivors - about sharing their single-sex spaces with men they don't know as 'first world problems'. Deeply troubling, and any credibility you had has just melted away to nothing.

Well, it would solve the issue of men using women’s toilets I suppose.

If society wants the human race to continue, then society should see to it that women are not disadvantaged in any way by choosing to have children.

While this has always been a common occurrence in many nights clubs pubs etc when they are busy, OP has said she doesn't want men in women's spaces so presumably would not want to go into men's spaces....

Using the men’s loos whilst on the blob with a 10 year old in tow is not an option. And shouldn’t need to be a consideration either.

I listen to Americast too. I always thought it was aimed at the American audience, but I'm pleased that some Brits listen to it too. The American host (Anthony) has an excellent understanding of US politics.

This is a person who is happy for her female child - who she says wears skirts and has her breasts stared at by creepy men - to be in men’s toilets because of that child’s identity. I’m unconvinced she’s that concerned about female safety and comfort.

I know this is niche compared to women's concerns about men in their toilets, but some men (I'd say most) would also feel somewhat uncomfortable for a biological female even if they ID as a male, to be in their spaces.
And it's a disingenuous myth that transwomen in men's loos would have queues of men waiting in a queue to clout them, or even be verbally abusive.
Most men are struggling with their flies and burgeoning urinary flow issues to be in the mood to be transphobic.
As for a teen girl to be encouraged by their parent to use the men's loo, I know where the problem is and it certainly isn't with the phantom transphobes.
My point is, why should men also be compromised socially by the wrong sex in their toilets etc?

Dunno no why they want to wait in that queue! I have no bloody idea why women take so long, they go into cubicles and bloody disappear, you never see them emerge again.

Well yes, childbirth currently looks wholly unappealing. I know several young women in stable relationships with stable income who don't want kids, and why would they? So yes I absolutely agree that people who choose to get pregnant need to be treated much, much, MUCH better than now.

As for humanity I disagree, Earth has more people than ever before and climate change is absolutely on course to make swathes of it uninhabitable, so no, not really

I agree with that too. Panic about falling birthrates is just "let's avoid having a problem now ( an ageing, ailing population to be looked after) by setting ourselves up for a bigger one later ( overpopulation, resource scarcity and mass extinctions)".

But I don't think that's an excuse for " well, we'd quite like some of you to go on having children but the woman involved ( and only the woman) can just suck up any detriments it causes her career and her finances because, yeah, she could choose not to do it." In a world organised around money and paid employment, men can have their career-and-a-family cake and eat it, without intervention, but women can't to the same extent.

So what if no women choose to get pregnant? China is facing a crisis due to their historical one child policy and now women choosing not to have children. If no one chooses to have children, that’ll be an interesting future.

Childbirth has never been appealing. For most of history it was a woman’s most life-threatening time.

Woman and trans woman can and should be very sympathetic eg when my son had bowel overflow at aged 7 everyone allowed me to go ahead. I would have no qualms in saying that I have an emergency could I go ahead to everyone including the trans females who I would hope would be sympathetic as it’s part of the female world/ female nature to ask for help like that and be kindly received.

By trans females do you mean women that identify as men or men who identify as women? If the latter then why refer to female nature, they are male?

But TW are not female. Why would you expect them to have a “female nature”. Can you define what a “female nature” is?
