Nuala McGovern even mentioned the unmentionable subject that WH always tried to swerve so I'm looking forward to hearing Nuala's sad voice.

Mary-Ann very clear so far ….

Nuala sounds v much as though she is reading rather than speaking off the cuff. Perhaps best she sticks to that approach on this subject and avoids audio-head tilts.

#sadtimes for Nuala who wants us all to think of the poor men’s feelings. She asks, won’t anyone think of the men who identify as women and their feelings?

[None of these genderists ever mention women who identify as men]…

It was striking how Nuala wasn't doing the sad voice approach today but was doing the holding-to-account approach in which MAS was called on to explain why the EHRC had been dragging its heels and questions about implementation.

But there appeared to be an incremental change. Journalists who still identify as such are beginning to realise there's a lot more to work with by examining what's been going on rather than acting as mouthpieces for trans activism.

Nuala sounds mightily relieved once the segment is over - think she did the previous one under duress?

DrBlackbird · 19/10/2026 10:27

Nuala of course asking about safety for trans, but my impression is not that she’s thinking of that poor trans man who was literally made unsafe by service providers when she was placed on the male psych ward and violently raped.

Still not convinced Nuala ‘gets it’ about the harms of the GI as she wants to hold onto her sense of being a #bekind woman.

It's improvement over Anita Rani. When she's forced to do one of these you can almost hear her thinking about running off to disinfect herself.
