India Willoughby - can we take a moment an address the increasing hysteria and vile comments on their social media - X in particular.

In the past 24 hours he has slated Nick Wallis, JKR, Helen Joyce, Maya Forstater this list goes on.

It really feels at this stage that a close one to India should stage an intervention.

I hope every single one of you have a child that is trans

I do. And I love them to pieces and they love me similarly. Unlike India and men like him, my child is neither racist nor misogynist and uses appropriate facilities for their sex, which they know they cannot change. As a rape survivor they understand that female only spaces, particularly rape and DV shelters and support, should be free of men, however they present or identify. It's vanishingly rare, I know, but it's possible to be trans and not a complete bell end.

Very transphobic of you to wish trans children on others as if it's a punishment. You ought to be ashamed.

I'm not surprised this is happening to IW, likely others.

They were given something they wanted, they valued and they thought they would always have it. This thing (validation and the ability to make people do and say what they wanted) made them feel powerful and special, boosting their self esteem.

Now reality is setting in for them as well as everyone else - and the reality of their ageing body (which is tough for all of us to cope with) which has maybe not lived up to expectations along with possible side effects from medication may be making life difficult.

Add to that the mental challenge of no longer having others constantly validating you and how that feels. Maybe the reason you were so unhappy with your body in the first place is no longer able to be suppressed or distracted from. You actually have to face it.

It's quite sad really. :(

The DSM V must be due an update soon; I presume it’s compiled by clinical psychologists/therapists/academics, who must be seeing increasing evidence for a Gender Identity Personality Disorder.

Having proposed this, I tend to think this type of behaviour is covered by existing Cluster B personality disorders.

Edit: this isn’t ‘j’accuse’, it’s just an observation about how humans have(n’t) adjusted to the modern world. It’s all about external validation and maladaptive responses to sad feelings.

YouCanCallMeMonster · 18/10/2026 11:52

IW is a thoroughly unpleasant, miserable man. He is also a rage baiting grifter who needs the attention both for his ego and his wallet. Those things don’t stop him potentially being vulnerable and requiring an intervention. He thought he was going to build a career as the daytime panel show resident transwoman but he is too unpleasant, boring and lacking in talent even for those low-bar options.

I suspect his use of ‘tennis bat’ was deliberate as ‘bat’, ‘’buddy’, ‘bag’ are all in his arsenal of insults for women.

YouCanCallMeMonster · 18/10/2026 12:00

*biddy not buddy!

WallaceinAnderland · 18/10/2026 15:44

He really hates ageing doesn't he. It's one of his go to insults which is ironic since he'll be collecting his pension in 5 years.

And he's a hypocrite too as he pays Elon Musk for the privilege of being able to post misogynistic comments online yet claims he isn't one of them.

Wadsworthy · 19/10/2026 06:20

He’s a sad little man, isn’t he?

Whatever we describe IW as he is a human being who clearly needs some mental health support. When he first transitioned he was given lots of attention and lapped it up. We have all moved on and seen the grift of trans for what it is. Mediocre men thinking they will be better as women and mentally unwell men bringing their fetish to work.

We are tired of the pretence.

He needs help.

IW has now posted about the ‘first recorded trans death’. His post is completely misleading. the person dies in 2023 16 days post diagnosis. IW has made out that due to the SC ruling the person died because of not having a place for him (patient identified as female).

This is using the death of someone as a weapon. I am sensing the whole trans situation is flailing. It rode the crest of a wave where we all championed them in the ‘be kind’ ‘bring your whole self to work’ era. We are tired of pretending, well I am. Tying ourselves up in knots to accommodate people who have mental health issues is helping no one.

As said previously I hope IW has people around him to support him in what appears to be at the very least a tantrum and at worst a mental breakdown. He needs help.

India also shamelessly tells blatant lies about the BBC, which India considers is transphobic. India has stated on X several times that the BBC refers to transwomen as "biological men pretending to be women" (India's quotation marks) and said this is "an order from Richard Burgess" (Director of News, my quotation marks).

This is of course totally untrue. I am sure the BBC has never referred to transwomen in this way. They sometimes use the words "biological males who identify as women"; presumably this is what India objects to, but it has a completely different implication and is purely factual.

Why is the BBC, and Richard Burgess in particular, allowing damaging lies to be told about them in this way? Surely some legal steps could be taken to prevent it?

Yes this has been doing the rounds on TRA twitter. These people are twisted. Imagine exploiting a tragic death for your own agenda like this. Absolutely disgusting.

Not really relevant, but the idea that everyone else gets cancer treatment within 16 days...

It sounds as though at this stage the most appropriate treatment was palliative, and my experience is that this is likely to be in a private room.

Sadly it even happens on this board, with a death and a rape case having been exploited in this way over recent days. We see this tactic for what it is.

Yes I'm suprised the usual suspects on here haven't tried to make hay with this one. Still there's time yet.

We have yet to be scolded for not starting a thread about it, even though they haven't started a thread about it...

India does seem to be spiralling. I suspect they know on some level they have ruined their life.
There was a period of time he was on tv/big brother and I’m sure he thought this was going to be a lucrative career for him. Instead he’s living off his mother and unemployed.
I remember on that first dates he kissed someone for the first time since he ‘transitioned’. I know someone who became a woman because he thought he would attract heterosexual men, he was told constantly that this would happen. It didn’t, he was quite miserable. He actually went back to living under his previous identity but he’d had all the surgery. He’s created quite a lonely life for himself and the easiest people to blame are actual women. I’d feel sorry for him if he wasn’t so odious.

I would imagine that the threats and racism aren't endearing him to producers of daytime TV.

But, again, maybe it's a way to make money on twitter.

Having made himself unemployable, Willoughby's aim now is to be sued so that he can have some attention.

TheThirteenthFairy · 19/10/2026 16:14

Willyboy is tiresome. He takes himself very seriously because he thinks he is important - to most people of course, he's anything but. I do think he needs some help though.

Shortshriftandlethal · 19/10/2026 16:20

There's an element of an exaggerated camp performance which originates from a toxic negative 'femininity' to his displays. All of those 'bitchy' nasty comments about women's bodies, their looks, and the ageing process. A toxic old queen.

TheThirteenthFairy · 19/10/2026 16:20

Iwantanothergo · 16/10/2026 16:22

He is absolutely vile and deluded. Thinks he is now a "biological woman".

His insults are like those of an unpleasant, not very bright teenage boy, e.g. making fun of people's names. He is only interested in externals - to him, womanhood is all about what you look like. If women just look like ordinary middle-aged women, he can’t bear it and insults their looks.

He's always going on about leaving the country because he thinks it’s so awful. I just wish he would.

He offered to show us his cervix on tv. Mercifully, nobody took him up on it! And yes, he does actually think he is a biological woman.

Thank you, India 'Let That Penetrate!' Willoughby.

BlueLegume · 19/10/2026 16:32

IW continues to lose it on X. Can someone help him? It’s not nice seeing someone fall apart on social media. Whatever your view of him. As a journalist his use of language is poor. He ‘had to take a letter to his gp saying he’s not to be taken to and nhs hospital under any circumstances due to Labours segregation and shaming laws’. Totally ridiculous language. If he’s in a car crash paramedics won’t contact his gp they will take him to A and E.

Shame he isn’t all over the disgrace that is the puberty blockers trial.

He needs help.

WallaceinAnderland · 19/10/2026 17:09

His friends have tried to help him. Other transwomen have told him that he is damaging their cause. Even his so called 'friend' Boy George has blocked him. You can't help someone who won't accept help.
