Khloe Simmonds, 26, was sentenced to seven and a half years for eight counts of perverting the course of justice after making false claims of sexual assault between 2018 and 2026.

Harrow Crown Court heard today (September 7) that Simmonds spent hundreds of hours with police officers, fabricating accounts of serious sexual violence and presenting herself as a victim.

Simmonds is a pre-operative trans woman, the court heard, and was referred to using female pronouns throughout the hearing.

At the height of her offending, Simmonds was responsible for 2.5 per cent of all rape and serious sexual assault allegations in Harrow.

Might be misremembering but I thought courts had been given updated guidance to say they had to use correct sex pronouns?

Sounds like what they call ewwphoria. Sadly I've a hard time seeing the police devoting this much time and attention to women reporting actual rapes.

The use of they stops this biological male from claiming the Telegraph misgendered them. The photos are excellent to show this particular "they/their/them" is of the male variety. More reports need to be doing this.

Courts need to stop this misrepresentation of biological facts permanently. The English language is delightful in it's ability to refer to one person using the they/their/them without falsely identifying a biological male as a woman or using feminine pronouns.

As ever, the 'they/them' thing confuses the issue as it's sometimes unclear if it's one or two people. But better then she, at least.

I'd like to know how many of these sexual partners expected him to be female - I think it shows at least two did. Men aren't always very observant & he's lucky not to have been beaten up by a furious man.

The Scrubs is a men's prison but I'm wondering if his crimes will be recorded as committed by a woman. And any woman doing this would be arrested way before she got as far as he did.

" They" is a neutral form in the English language when the sex and/or number of some person(s) is unknown, and in this case it's perfectly known. "Khloe" is male, and thankfully there's only one of him.

I am absolutely disgusted that this has been referred to as by a woman and that people just skimming the article may not know it’s a man. Why is this still happening? I also saw a comment on fb that why did police not think it was dodgy he seemed to have so many complaints. Indeed. Not wanting to upset a “poor and marginalised” community. As well as the awful reporting I think serious questions are needed about the police response.

It really doesn't help that journalists are so fond of quoting the discredited Williams Institute study that claims transwomen are four times more likely to be victims of sexual assault or assault.

When you actually look at how they define 'assault' they include misgendering. Obviously a transwoman is much more likely to be misgendered than a woman.

But combined with sissy porn, it appeals to the type of autogynephiles who get off on thinking they are victims.

The police have a responsibility in this too. How much time and money was taken away from genuine victims to pander to this man's fetish? It's already a sad fact that if a man is raped, police are much more likely to believe him.

All of the comments in the Telegraph are critical of the paper avoiding the use of his correct pronouns, with any luck the paper will take the hint and start reporting the truth.
