A female lorry driver has been awarded more than £19k by an employment tribunal after a colleague said she flashed her breasts to get what she wanted.

Charlotte Brooks brought claims of harassment related to sex, harassment of a sexual nature, and direct sex discrimination against the Co-operative Group in relation to the behaviour of her colleague Kelly Dawson.

The Co-op has been told to pay a female HGV driver £19,000 after a tribunal found it minimised the sexual harassment she received by a colleague and failed to put adequate safeguarding measures in place.

This is the law working as intended.

The OP hasn't seen a case like this before. One where it's 2 women, one where it's bullying or one where it's sexual harassment...which can happen between people of the same sex? It doesn't have to be between people of different sexes.

Or is it because of the actions of the idiot manager who doesn't believe there was any sexual harassment or as important because it was between women.

The whole thing was a shambles from the behaviour of the bully to the blinkered attitude of the manager.

Seems like a lot of she says she says and the Co op didn't ignore the issue so I'm a bit surprised it's been awarded.

I think they awarded it because she was reinstated and nothing was actually done to make sure that the actual victim of this bullying and harassment was protected when they reinstated the perp.

No. When the dismissal was appealed, it says the company took steps to ensure they were on different teams etc. But the tribunal felt that the appeal process only took into account the opinion of the defendant. They didn't take into consideration the feelings and impact on the woman who was bullied.
