Male so-called 'lactation'.

It is not lactation. Lactation is what female mammals do in response to the hormonal changes resulting from giving birth. It is supported and maintained by the physical action of infant suckling or, to a lesser extent, manual pumping. It adapts to the needs of the growing infant, without any conscious actions from the mother. It fully supports the needs of the infant.

When a male secretes a milk-like substance from his nipples it is not lactation. When deliberately induced it is not a natural response to hormonal changes, but a side-effect of medications. When it happens spontaneously, without drug teatment, it requires medical investigation because it is indicative of a medical condition such as a pituitary tumour. There is a medical term for this: galactorrhoea.

Talking about 'male lactation' is like using 'gender-affirming pronouns' or incorrect grammar such as 'transwomen' - the slippery slope to equivalence with what it is absolutely not, the slippery slope towards female erasure.

Galactorhoea.

Oh look, a derailer. Quelle surprise.

This is nothing to do with so-called inclusive language. This is nothing to do with trans-identified females. This is EVERYTHING to do with selfish men of whatever identity, and the people who enable them. Because, get this, not all trans-identified men are fetishists, and many non-trans men are fetishists.

Oh look, someone who refuses to accept that trans women are often mums and very, very occasionally use chestfeeding to bond with their babies - supervised by health visitors.

Inducing lactation isn't difficult, as those of us who've breastfed boys can testify. (The effects of hormone transfer can be very unnerving at first, especially when it's your first baby.)

That's totally different to the sexualisation of breastfeeding, something overwhelmingly practised by cishet people.

When groups like Queer Milk refer to trans chestfeeders, it is almost always trans guys/nb people they're trying to help.

Quite why you're so fixated on this issue when actual.child abuse is so prevalent, I really don't know. Queer Milk even got reported to the authorities despite no trans women having been reported as turning up.

Okay it's fairly obvious why. The hatred of trans people, especially trans women - and determination to sexualise everything they do - being so prevalent on this forum.

Threads about actual, life-destroying child abuse disappear in days, in favour of unalloyed, ignorant hate.

Transwomen are male. They cannot be mums. 🙄

i need to dig out that article from a transwoman who said they got turned on by putting their infant to their moobs. 🤮🤮🤮

It’s only men that sexualise breastfeeding. That includes transwomen. It’s vile that you’re defending this child abuse.

I wish more women on here would consider why men on here who never comment on threads about actual child abuse, are so obsessed with trans people.

Especially trans children. Who they really want to save, despite not showing any interest in saving real abuse victims.

Whose bodies they want to comment on.

When they're not detailing sick, entirely fictional 'erect penis next to naked child in shower' rape fantasies. Insisting that stuff which isn't CSA, is child abuse.

Why they're so interested in writing about babies being suckled as child abuse. Long after it's become obvious the inclusive messaging they're fake-outraged about, is targeting trans men who chestfeed and don't use formula at all.

Or condemning parents who want to protect their children.

Ugh.

Seriously?
Transwomen father children - they're not Mums who've birthed babies.
No man should be attaching babies to their nipples. Breastfeeding is challenging enough for new mothers and having a man insert himself into the equation for his own validation or sexual satisfaction is unacceptable and no matter of wailing on your part will ever make it anything other than child abuse. (see link upthread)

Like many women on here, I've spent years working to stop child abuse. The notion that we give this group of men an exception for "reasons" isn't going to happen.

I’m posting this again for you as you seem to have missed this man writing about getting turned on by suckling his child. If you can’t see that this is child abuse then there’s something seriously wrong with you. And no we are not going to ignore this.

Here you are - a self identified male "lactation consultant" mansplaining why certain men want to 'breast feed" a baby and disrupt the critical mother baby dyad and the establishment of breastfeeding between the mother and her baby.

"As to the question of why they would want to, it seems reasonable to believe that cis men want to lactate for the same reasons as anyone else. Which is to say, usually to feed and bond with their baby and to a lesser extent for curiosity, fun, or sexual gratification.”

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5570719-5570719-lactation-support-conference-in-ireland-the-quiet-part-out-loud

Just shows what a broken society we live in that anyone can defend men abusing babies like this.

Reposting this so that the poster minimising child abuse and darvoing all over the place can get their facts straight.

Just a reminder that a transwoman was charged with indecent exposure for displaying his erect penis in a female only area of the Wi Spa where there was a nine year old girl. Not fictional.

Also 50 year old “Melody” from Canada who was naked in the swim changing room with young girls who had to be protected from him with a wall of towels held by distraught mothers. Not fictional.

The more you engage with this TRA the more extreme and irrelevant their absurd claims become. Is this thread turning into an Operation Let Them Speak, or is it time to stop reposting and thus bumping them up in search results?

Besides, I would quite like to discuss language. Kingdom made a good point which I haven’t got my head around yet: what is the difference between pus and galactorrhoea?

(And can I just accept the American spelling of that word!?)

What am I reading!! In what universe are MEN mothers? You are delusional if you really believe that. I don’t think you actually do believe this rubbish you are spouting!!

There is NO such thing as chestfeeding. The human race would have died out. There is BREASTFEEDING which ONLY WOMEN can do.

I wouldn’t trust the health visitors either!!

I have posted before, and will continue to repeat...
the current practices on children by the 'trans' community will be looked back on as one of the biggest ever child abuse issues we have faced world-wide.

  • a man suckling a child for the man's pleasure is sexual child abuse
  • putting children onto hormones so that they don't enter puberty is physical, emotional and probably sexual child abuse
  • chest-binding is physical and probably sexual child abuse
  • surgery to children which is not needed is physical and emotional child abuse
  • allowing children to believe that they are the opposite sex is emotional child abuse
  • 'transitioning' a child is emotional child abuse
  • etc. etc.

it is plain and out in the open - no pretending that there is some 'wholesome' justification stops it being child abuse - there is nothing wholesome in the 'trans' concept or practice.

a boy is born a boy, remains a boy and grows up to be a man
a girl is born a girl, remains a girl and grows up to be a woman

the role of adults is to support and enable them to become the best adult they can be - there are all shapes of men / women, who can and do have a variety of builds / emotional constructs / hobbies / interests / etc. - but you can not change sex.

So anything that suggests otherwise and pushes a child in any direction of that nature will be some form of child abuse. Children by their nature are considered vulnerable, and all and any 'trans' feelings / thoughts / habits / desires comes from the adult world - so by definition, someone has failed to protect that child.

We will look back as a society and condemn this practice - hopefully we will also see society looking to respond to those who are the main instigators.

PrancingPanda · 30/08/2026 19:40

TPA never replies: just pops on to scold then off they go
No comment on men wanting babies to suck their nipple/chest/ breast and getting excited by it?
These men cannot and will not ever be mothers! What are you on about?!

It is a disgusting practice and should rightly be condemned as abuse. Because it is

ElenOfTheWays · 30/08/2026 22:19

TransParentlyAnnoyed · 25/08/2026 21:34

Do you actually realise how few trans women induce lactation to feed babies? It is a miniscule number within a tiny population, and all are supervised by health visitors.

Trans men and nonbinary people are the focus of inclusive language around breast/chestfeeding, because natural milk is best for babies.

Inclusive language encourages trans men & nb people to access breast/chestfeeding support. Given the very impactful dysphoria trans men suffer during pregnancy, they really need that support, and to feel able to access help.

Respect for trans guys who have kids costs cis women precisely nothing.

It's a total non-issue. We have so many pressures and face constant harassment. I don't know a single woman who hasn't suffered a serious sexual assault, our reproductive rights are under attack, rape culture is destroying young lives - as if this is in any way important.

I believe the point being made here is that NO Trans Identified Men are inducing lactation. What they are doing is inducing galacttorhea. And then feeding the resulting secretions to vulnerable newborns. This is not OK.
It's irrelevant how many or few are doing it. It doesn't even matter WHY they're doing it really. They shouldn't be fucking doing it for ANY reason. It's disgusting. Its selfish. It's child abuse and its completely indefensible. And anyone even attempting to defend it or deflect from the actual issue is beneath contempt.

SmallDFartyCarNRG · 30/08/2026 22:23

When I first heard the term "chest feeding" I thought they meant when men pay for women to lie naked on a table and eat sushi or whatever from them.
Chests can't "feed" only breasts can.
