Views on the surrogate who refused termination after foetal heart defect

I did look for a thread but I couldn’t find one.

what are we thinking about the surrogate who refused to terminate because the baby had a heart defect, despite the “parents” insisting on a termination.

The baby has now been born, and she didn’t even get a chance to hold him, before he was taken away.

I don’t agree with surrogacy, and I feel very sorry for this baby

If it was up to me I'd outright ban it for a variety of reasons.

It just concerns me how much the other side will downplay the harms to the women doing this because there are so many women that do it for the love of having babies. It baffles me how they claim to believe that yet expect them to be completely chill with a mandated abortion because they signed a contract.
