Local councils must obey the law of the land on trans rights - Women’s sex-based rights and their very existence as a sex class have been under attack for years

The notion that local governments can pick and choose which laws they wish to follow is absurd and profoundly dangerous.
...
Yet according to much of the media coverage of this issue, and the reaction of certain local council leaders, the court ruling and the subsequent Code of Conduct were not about women’s rights to privacy being reasserted, but about the injustice done to “trans women”, or men who identify as women.

This is itself an injustice. Women's sex-based rights and their very existence as a sex class have been under attack for years. The only injustice in the Supreme Court’s ruling is that women had to wait for so long to hear it.

(I put in not just the title of the article but the sub title as well. Who would have thought the Telegraph would use the radical feminist term of "sex class"!)

Thanks for the link.

"The only injustice in the Supreme Court’s ruling is that women had to wait for so long to hear it."

The article is right, this is always framed as 'trans' right's, when it's about women's right's it always has been, and it will continue to be despite the deliberate misinformation and downright lies told by the 'tranosphere'.

I'd be more impressed with the Telegraph if they would stop referring to male criminals as women though.

Labour allows Left-wing councils to defy trans guidance
Six Green-led London boroughs vow to keep services ‘inclusive’

It is understood the group has still not faced any action from the Government despite warning ministers they planned to defy the guidance last week.

It is ultimately up to the EHRC, which operates independently of the Government, to enforce the code. However, ministers could remind councils of their responsibilities under the law and warn them of the consequences if they rebel.

Thank you for sharing.

But ARGH.

They are STILL leading with 'trans rights' in the headline-

These were NEVER RIGHTS AT ALL!

This is about WOMEN AND GAY PEOPLE'S LEGAL PROTECTIONS for their equality and access.

And let's be honest, they say 'trans' - they only mean MEN. It's men who are pissed off by women having inconvenient protections.

There is NEVER the focus on the actual groups affected who HOLD these bloody legal protections that are under attack. And the reciting of 'trans rights' just keeps reiterating and training the public in the lie while enabling men activists over women.

Yes, but do we have any opposition Cllr's anymore, the Cllr's in Bristol who aren't the Green's don't seem to have any interest in curtailing the anti-democratic activity's of the Green Circus in charge of that council.
