Has anyone come across The Tomboy Project? https://www.tomboyproject.com

It’s a new project and recently seems to be really taking off. I love the fact that it’s a young woman reaching out to other young women, offering them an alternative to the current narrative.

Are you simply promoting your own website? I notice that the link has a direct request for donations. And are you a US site?

I think it’s a great initiative and wish them luck.

I've seen some of her Facebook reels, which are basically her dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, with short hair and a cap, showing off not looking feminine and encouraging girls and young women to celebrate being tomboys, not trans. She does a good job with them. But she also talks about being on the right and laughs at the left, so you could say that she's encouraging division. I wonder whether she knows that in the UK it's mainly women on the left of politics who are fighting against children and young people being transed.

Politicising it seems redundant to me. You're just going to alienate potential sign ups who don't agree with your politics.

She probably does assume that gender critical women in the UK are on the right. I've not seen much traction from the left in the US on this issue.

No, it’s not me or my website. It was in my Facebook feed, I assume because the algorithm threw it up.
i get that it’s not perfect, but it’s presenting an alternative understanding, an alternative ‘identity’ for all these ASD girls who feel that they don’t fit.

I really like this message. I haven’t looked closely at the website yet but the idea is fab. There appears a gap online and in schools promoting the idea that girls can dress and have interests that are considered masculine but it doesnt mean they are trans or non binary. We went backwards sadly with the rise of gender ideology. Same goes for more feminine boys. The 80s felt like anything was possible and young people accepted each other for their individuality. I do hope the next youth movement will eventually return back to this way of thinking. It makes so much more sense.

On the face of it this looks good.

When you're as old as I am you forget that the things that we knew when we were young are new to children and teens: that it's fine to be a tomboy, or androgynous, or a theatrical, feminine-looking man.

This generation needs to be taught it all over again.
