Irish ladies football and camogie trans policy falls to wokeness

So no surprises that the GAA are going fully woke and putting female players at risk. With all available information from other sports how can they justify applying testosterone as the deciding factor.
Every single aspect of governance and decision making is only focused on being top of the class and putting females at risk.

It's a good article, thank you for the link - that newspaper is better at scrutinising genderwoo than most of the Irish media.

As it points out, most Irish sporting bodies have gone in the other direction, i.e limiting women's sports to biological women.
I don't know why the GAA is taking this extreme and somewhat outdated position.

I think the GAA is incredibly valuable in Irish society. Pretty much every parish has its GAA club, and they make a huge contribution to grassroots community life in Ireland.

I'm not sure what those grassroots will make of this policy - it might look fine and progressive on paper, but then again, they may remember when proud trans player Giulia Valentino [that's Giulia on the right] took to the pitch in a women's Gaelic football match, and may think twice about having that kind of scene enacted on their local pitch.

@MarieDeGournay i can't explain it either, maybe it shows the urban majority in decision making versus rural majority that actually play the game and pay at the gate. Or it could be the current Irish mindset where everyone is brainwashed into staying silent in case they get labelled bigot, racist etc etc even when the policy is as batshit as this. That pic you included is one that shows the lunacy of this policy and the other was the female boxer beaten to a pulp by a trans boxer.
I have 2 issues with this. Its the uneven strength on the field putting girls at risk. My DD played mixed football in under 12s and was physically hurt by boys of same age as they were so uneven physically. But its also the shared dressing rooms that it allows.

Separate note re Irish Examiner. It can be very driven by an agenda. For example it has a hatred of all things Catholic Church and regularly has headlines about some scandal but ignores serious issues such as how our tax money is being frittered away and use of non Garda vetted carers for children and vulnerable adults and the neglect of the elderly thro lack of home helps, respite etc. But its not alone in ignoring those scandals.
