Well considering the support of the men who are declaring they will just defy the guidance as per this thread of yours, I don’t think that the govt needs to look very far for why if they have supported or do give support or don’t act to clarify how they will deter to this kind of declaration.

Aye because women and girls in Scotland can have complete faith in John Swinney when it comes to their safety.

Swinney is a fake, I know. But I don't care his motivations - if it gets the subject on the agenda and if something - SOMETHING - gets done to make my daughter safer, it will be worth listening to his softly softly talky shitey faux concern.

I'd be interested in his mathematical formulae for figuring out who the women and girls are, first. Apparently it's really difficult to work it out, and if he's going to stop VAWG, I would imagine that's the first step. Once he's worked out his formulae, he can let us all in on the secret.

Preferably before Wednesday.

Surely the first step is defining what a WOMAN actually is. You can't protect what you can't define.

Maybe he will finally get round to meeting ForWomen Scotland like he promised to do some years ago and never has.

Mr Swinney branded it a "serious issue" as he pledged a new multi-year fund for specialist third sector organisations to help sustain vital services and deliver "critical preventative work".
Enhanced protections will include recognising pregnancy as an aggravating factor in domestic abuse cases and a public health campaign to "challenge and to change problematic misogynistic attitudes in boys and young men".

Swinney and his party have shown nothing but utter contempt for women and girls. Given many of them are unable to define a woman or a girl, it's going to be impossible for them to target resources appropriately.

They’re loading it on the teachers - as though teachers didn’t have enough to do- presumably on the basis that all social ills can be cured by being the subject of a PHSE lesson. If only we’d thought of that before.
