Bridget Phillipson slams 'deeply unpleasant targeting' of trans people amid EHRC update

This will come as no surprise, but just to say here is Phillipson again talking about the Supreme Court ruling was about trans people.

No acknowledgement that the ruling restored women's rights that had been eroded.

But then she was talking to the W&EC so no doubt thought this is what they would want to hear.

Too bad, Bridget.⬆

Is Bridget an activist, or simply a normal, weasly politician? She's in a difficult position now, if she is an activist, because Andy's just made her Labour Chair, so she's going to have to try her best to get Labour past Reform at the next election. And she won't be able to do that if she gets into bed with the increasingly unhinged activists.

"My belief has always been that we can deliver appropriate single-sex services, whether that's rape crisis, women's refuges, good access to sporting activity for girls, without that meaning that we have to engage in what has become, I think, deeply unpleasant targeting of people who simply wish to live their lives without causing any harm to anyone else."

And, Bridget, that "deeply unpleasant targeting of people"??? - you might want to be careful who you side with. It isn't women doing the unpleasant targeting.

This is just that crappy W&E Q&A session a few weeks ago I think which pleased no one, least of all the TRAs.

TheMagpieRobin · 29/07/2026 01:06

Why didn't she do this earlier then? Over the years the message has been loud and clear from the government and activists that "trans women are women" 100%, full stop, no exceptions. Now, unsurprisingly, women have taken it through the courts to prove that in fact it's the other way around, no exceptions. Don't like it? Should have thought about compromise and the importance of single sex spaces 10 years ago 🤷🏼‍♀️

"... people who simply wish to live their lives without causing any harm to anyone else."

The way they cling to this ridiculous troup is a symptom of their stupidity, has she been totally deaf, dumb and blind to what's being going on for years. Those people want to punch terfs in the face, they want to decapitate women for daring to disagree with them. Exactly who is it that she's referring to when she spouts this drivel. 😤

She was always the worst one.

FWS does essentially say this. For those who don’t want to cause harm to others respect can be afforded. Which includes most aspects of trans campaigning tbh, as the very nature of the campaign influences children which causes direct harm to their healthy bodies.

It’s just that there’s a higher rate of sexual offending amongst the cohort who call themselves trans women which does need to be discussed, loudly and and openly.

Which we can all definitely do.

Trans Reddit call her ‘vile & evil’ & say Burnham ‘doesn’t know what she’s done to them.’
