I don't know whether it's been posted anywhere, but just for an update NHS Fife are now breaking FOI laws.

The Information Commissioner in Scotland, David Hamilton, has told NHS Fife to make its 2024 Trans Policy available to the public under the Freedom of Information Act. NHS Fife has thus far refused to release the document, citing a number of exemptions, all of which have been rejected by the Commissioner.

It begs the question what they are so keen to hide. I wonder if there’s something truly horrible in the appendices like that west country NHS trust’s policy that explicitly addressed putting convicted male TW sex offenders in women’s wards and had some half baked risk mitigation strategy which was all about the TW, not the poor women on the ward.

"She told the meeting that the Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) had “reviewed and approved” the policy “from a Trans-community perspective”.

I was wondering if it has anything to do with this, what sort of approval did THT give?

THT's involvement seems a bit off. Maybe I'm being naive and it's shifted away from its original mission as so many organisations have (looking at you, Amnesty). But I'm looking forward to reading that document.
