Here's a blow-by-blow first-person account of what it is like to have the new sports sex test that is being decried as invasive and dehumanising and (in a rather extravagant bending of the facts) a genital inspection etc.

After such a big build-up, prepare to be.... underwhelmed. But please do stop scrolling now if you don't want to read the distressing details:

"I open my mouth and feel the swab brushing the inside of my cheeks for about 20 seconds. The practitioner carefully places the sample in a small plastic bag and then pops it into a sealed envelope. I sign the back of it."

That’s only invasive and dehumanising if it means you’re going to get busted as a cheat, that’s all. From that perspective it is absolutely literal violence against stunning and brave persecuted victims who ‘just want to peeeeeeee’, and win women’s sports.

What is interesting is that I am listening to this break down of the interview with Helen Joyce and Alison morris and the poster from last night seems to repeat a number of the same misinformation an distraction tacrics that Alison used.

And it all got complicated with accusations that the standards were being exploited:

Quote from that article: "What this case reveals, instead, is the difficulty of balancing inclusivity with competitive fairness"

This just gets me.

What normal person can't see that A+ B = C in a bloody nanosecond.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 29/07/2026 21:13

It's not a "difficulty"; it's an impossibility. You can have inclusivity or you can have competitive fairness, but you cannot have both at the same time.

That article is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!

It couldn't be funnier if it was about a detailed attempt to determine which brass polish was the best to use on the buttons of the emperor's new suit.

SirChenjins · 29/07/2026 21:42

It's like me demanding that, in order to achieve fairness and for everyone to show me kindness, I should be allowed to take part in the men's 100m sprint and start 90m in. I'd win every race!

I vote for pick-your-own-start-position next year. Purely on the grounds of inclusivity and fairness, naturally.

A while ago I heard a very funny comedy sketch on the radio about a school that was holding football matches with an imaginary ball. Far fewer injuries, and much more equitable results. Once again life imitates art!

Stop making demands. There’s two of us trying to keep up with you lot.

Ah "you lot"
Do we have bingo yet?

Because whilst you’re used to this space, looking in it from the outside, it is genuinely distressing and painful to see.

one of you is describing the ‘head fuck’ of being disagreed with fairly mildly by one single person. There are lots more dissenting voices outside of this forum, and you’ve stopped being able to see it at all. People DO feel sorry for people who have fallen into an online rabbit hole or conspiracy theory etc, and whilst it might make you uncomfortable and I’m sure you don’t want my sympathy - I do feel sorry for you.

Do you think that the women on this forum don't actually exist in real life? Talk to people in the real world or use other online forums?
I'm on X and FB as well as here. I sometimes look around Reddit too. I don't pop out of existence when I'm not posting on here.
We see this nonsense everywhere and argue against it. It's not just on here that we find no one has a good argument for gender ideology or men in women's sports and spaces. I've never seen one anywhere
Because there isn't one. Humans can't change sex.

We also see that more and more people are seeing that it's nonsense and are pushing back. It's really not FWR that's in a bubble. TransReddit OTOH ...

I am waiting for basketball to start to protect female basketball and the football bodies to protect female football. I reckon that there will be some rather noticeable and widely discussed retirements.

Mind you I also suspect that there will be numerous noticeable players missing in the Olympics for those sports. Including some of the highest paid ‘female’ players.

Maybe Sophie’s bravery will produce enough pressure to basketball to make the change.

good that she is not backing down.

She posted this after two teenaged girls were cursed at by Celeste Keaton the co owner of the Seattle storms team.

I truly believe there is a safe space and love for EVERYBODY. Biological girls, biological boys, trans women, and trans men. Everyone is welcome at my table! You can disagree and still be kind.

Bravo to those girls for standing up for what they believe. You’ll be hearing from me soon💕 yay for gifts.

Truly embarrassing of the co-owner. Unfortunately shows the type of leader she is.”

And, this also seems to be part of what the girls also experienced at the event

This must have been very scary for those girls. Just waiting for someone to tell us about how it is ‘both sides’ that are bad….

Footage obtained by @FoxNews shows the young Sophie Cunningham fans also face a confrontation with a grown man and a woman with him. The man shouted "take the trash out" to arena staff, in reference to the girls and the other supporters with them.

It's the way forward, I tell ya!

It boils down to 'start where you feel able to according to how you view yourself'.

I see our alleged international weightlifter hasn't returned. I've just been watching the commonwealth games lifting, which was incredible, and it would have been an utter outrage if there'd been a man in it.

ElenOfTheWays · 29/07/2026 19:37

This is true. Despite being told repeatedly that no one is demanding this or expects it to happen, transactivists continue to bring this up regularly. It really is starting to look as if it's THEM that want this to happen. Even if it's only to be able to say "see we TOLD you so. Those horrible TERFS are making everyone have genital inspections"

Trans rights activists do love their TERF fan-fiction.

This is true.

I believe that in Canada, national women's lifting records have been recorded by a man

https://x.com/MaureenSaysNo/status/2076127589203165371?s=20

In Canada, 4 out of 5 women's super heavyweight Powerlifting records are held by men. April Hutchinson was expelled for speaking out. Yoon and Betting are cheaters who are abusing a system that was designed to be abused by cheating men.

Here is an interview.

https://x.com/Rob_ThaBuilder/status/1709114378455240848?s=20

This is the well watched video where Andres declared that he didn't know why "women's bench was not better." And he even comments that his son can do better than the female competitors.... and indirectly says that the reason 'he (A. Andres) is so good' is because he is a 'training freak'... errrr.... no mate, it is because you are male...

https://x.com/babybeginner/status/1818368708798271862?s=20

Incidentally, Anne Andres did inspire Avi Silverberg to make a protest entry in the women's lift to show how absurd the Canadian regulations were.

I suspect it was more alleged powerlifter, given that’s where you deadlift.

I think powerlifting is still #bekind.

Avi Silverberg is my favourite woman powerlifter.

Avi massively amused my national team member and international powerlifting competitor DC too - who firmly believes TWAM when it comes to sport.

That’s just in case we’re into claiming that you need to be involved in sport to really understand.
