Stephanie Pratt’s legal case against Unite over sex-based rights

Stephanie Pratt is suing Unite and needs a flourishing garden to grow in the usual place. 'Why I am suing my trade union, UNITE'. This is not just about me. Many ordinary union members — especially women — are afraid to speak up about single-sex spaces, safeguarding, or women’s rights for fear of being labelled bigots or losing support from their own union. Cases like Maya Forstater, Jo Phoenix, Rachel Meade, and others have established that gender-critical beliefs are protected in law but UNITE never treated my beliefs as protected. Unions should be at the forefront of advancing and protecting women’s sex based rights; instead, they are actively trying to dismantle them.'

Apologies if there's already a thread. I couldn't see one.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been so disappointed with the unions in this issue. Do you know where there’s more info and how to sow a few seeds?

Usually if you google a name and a phrase, like the one OP has posted, it will pop up in the results. Links aren’t allowed here.

So, this phrase- Why I am suing my trade union, UNITE
and her name. Pops right up.

Someone taking on UNITE, someone else taking on Unison, hopefully all cases will succeed and the unions will rue the day they decided to priorities the wishes of the deluded over the reality based rights of their female members.
I'll garden on payday. 👍

Ahh thank you! I didn’t know that. x

I'm in Unite and very unhappy about their TWAW mantra. As a Scottish tax payer I donate to cases against the Scottish government etc at the same time as having to help fund the side I disagree with. Now I'm in the position of paying into a union I want employment protections from while considering donating to the woman suing them for their disregard for women's rights. I wish they would just ask the members what we want at I believe most would say that TWAM.

I left unison on this issue (who is taking unison to ET, I can't remember seeing it?) I know Fiona McDonald is taking PCS to ET I think and now there is this Unite one. I also know that IWGB are planning a protest about the CoP.

Links are not allowed but screenshots seem to be permitted. I've never been much good at screenshots.

Definitely will donate to this.

Really good to see this.

I have sown a few seeds in Stephanie's garden. It's notable how captured the unions are - have they been challenged in a tribunal before?

lcakethereforeIam · 26/07/2026 22:38

Isn't Sandie Peggie sueing the nursing union?

BingBongSong · 26/07/2026 23:23

Thanks - have donated.

The only one I can recall Rogue is the UCU being challenged for organising protests against the screening of the film Adult Human Female at Edinburgh University. The case wasn’t successful but IIRC it was complicated by the fact that the people bringing it weren’t Edinburgh UCU members and (I think) the union team argued they had protested as private citizens not union officials (may have got all of that wrong so I look to the Hive mind to correct me).

This could well be the first challenge to a union by a GC member. I believe Sandy Peggie is also planning to challenge her union in court.

Thanks @Igmum Yes, I remember now about Sandy Peggie planning to sue her union as well.
