He'd be out the door at my organisation. Bringing your workplace into disrepute is still a common item listed in performance and conduct policies and can be a clear example of gross misconduct.

University HR departments are notoriously wishy washy.... I used to work for one but fingers crossed his position becomes untenable.

Will female staff feel comfortable working with him? He might have previous given indications about his position on gender critical women, but he's overtly shown who he is.

The free speech union have posted on x offering to defend him if he joins

Bringing his workplace into disrepute is a ship that should have sailed years ago.

As usual these men always show themselves to be vile misogynists who have perhaps on average more hatred for women than men who accept reality.

It’s definitely in ’you couldn’t make it up ‘ territory isn’t it?
It would seem funny if it wasn’t so deadly serious.

Funny how they are never so vocal towards other men disbelieving men can be women. Does our very presence make them so insecure that they want to bully us into submission.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Today 22:24

That, and they’re scared of other men, and they don’t get any gratification when it’s a man.

The reporter reported on a police statement that also did not mention whether they were a man or woman. Should reporters be embellishing police statements and reporting things that were not said now?

Reporters are thorough. Someone’s sex is so obvious they will report he/she. Any good reporter will ask why the police haven’t mentioned someone’s sex.

A decision to not use sexual-based pronouns will be made because the subject of the report identifies as trans.

You are presumably a grown adult who has known this instinctively since childhood.

As a journalist you would ask why are they reluctant to say “she” about someone called Heather. You would not be doing your job properly otherwise.

We can get into the detail if you want but I get bored easily. I’d much prefer to send gifs of kittens.

Just saw that on FB. I reckon they're on a hiding to nothing with that one. His Ann Widdecombe tweet might not have been illegal but other things he's posted publicly almost definitely are. And we don't even know what the charges are yet. It may not be a freedom of speech matter at all
