Apple's completely new Siri has been released to developers, it won't come out for the public until August/September.

There is lots to like, Siri used to be dumb as a brick, now it's integrated, very private and runs off Google Gemini.

However - it is also full of shit in a way that ChatGPT & GROK for example, are not.

Why does this matter? Well within 6 months of this releasing around 500-650 million people will be using this, it's installed on everyones devices who upgrades to IOS27 / MacOS Golden Gate / iPads etc etc

AI is set up to spout a load of drivel about any subject and sound authoritative. If you catch it in the act of getting it spectacularly wrong, it 'virtually' shrugs its shoulders and goes Oops. Sorry about that.

Chat GPT told me I was cisgender and that was a medical term. It also told me women and girls were just as safe in mixed sex spaces as single sex ones.

I think the issue with AI is it will search for online content closely matching your wording.

If you ask "Can a woman have a penis?" it will pull its answer from the closest match to your wording, i.e. people talking about women having a penis. Same as if you were to ask "Is the earth flat?" you'd get a load of flat earther propaganda, because that's who's talking about it

The main threat to women is the sex class men, even more so if they are related or intimate partners. Members of the sex class of men who are transgendered are at least as dangerous to women as those who are not transgendered. There is no evidence trans identified men are less likely to hurt women than men who are not trans identified and some evidence they are more likely to.

I've had this experience too, but am wary since one of the ways chatbots are tuned is to generally please their users. Done successfully, then that means if it reckons you like a strong argument, it will give you one; and if you like to win, then it will eventually concede. I do not like this at all.
