Putney Pusher arrested!

I can't believe this happened almost 10 years ago. The casual violence of pushing a woman into the road as a bus was coming was so shocking, and I remember thinking, as did so many people, that someone must know who he was.

I saw his name mentioned online as the Putney Pusher so I went to Google and found some articles. While I was searching for articles, the second link popped up too, Daily Mail from 2013.

I've just realised he was named quite a while ago, I'm apparently late to this piece of news, sorry!

It's going to be very difficult to get a conviction if he's the one, it'll be a he said she said situation and he's got the money to pay for some very expensive legal beagles.
She was so lucky not to have been killed and lucky the bus driver had such quick reflexes, I'm not surprised he has palpitations every time he goes over that bridge.

This is a remarkable development. However, regardless of a possible conviction, I don't think it's a 'she says-he says situation', because first there is the video and then there are multiple witnesses. The victim saw him well and what's also shocking is the fact that this man, after he pushed her, came running back on the other side of the bridge while she was helped by the driver and passerbys, they called him and she kept shouting 'why?why?why?'...I think someone very close to him, someone who knew what he did went to the police....

Yup - I like to think it is a soon to be ex wife that has gone to the police having endured years of his sociopathic behaviour….

I remember being so shocked by this story and the fact that it was very evident in the video what had happened and that he'd ran back over the bridge and been challenged by people who had witnessed what he'd done yet he had STILL not been charged. I'd assumed at the time that he had contacts in the police, or was mi5 or something like that. So, a millionaire. I hate how a man can brush away a serious crime with his own money. I really do hope he gets punished for this finally.

I just hope they've got the right man this time. Apparently back in the months following the incident, 3 men were arrested (I assume separately, not as any kind of conspiracy) and they were all released. Everyone was relieved when the first suspect was arrested, but then he was able to prove that he wasn't even in the U.K. at the time of the crime. That doesn't make the police look very competent.
