'The Scottish Government has stated that it accepts the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of a woman, however, last week the First Minister suggested a “domestic approach” would be taken.
Mr Swinney told LBC: “We have to consult on the recent guidance and consider the guidance that has come out of the EHRC, to ensure that we can apply that into our domestic approach and that is exactly what the Scottish Government will do.”'

Women are watching.

The last British ruler that refused to accept that he was bound by the Law ended up losing a Civil War and his head.

We can but hope!

Remember that in the SNP's eyes, Scotland self-identifies as an independent country.

I despair.

Can someone explain to me why John Swinney has the moniker "Honest John"? Is it meant to be ironic?

Who on earth is driving this. What a lot of time and money spent on men trying to get access to women and girls.

Hard agree

Is this what the Scottish Greens demanded in return for them supporting the SNP in refusing an inquiry into the Murrell affair?

While that could well be true, the SNP are 100% committed gender woo all by themselves, as they e demonstrated multiple times.

Why?

All of the British Isles nationalist parties perceive themselves as oppressed and ignored by the British state and 'the English' - and so position themselves as rebellious , radical ' progressives' ( as does Australia, Canada, New Zealand - all Commonwealth countries). The 'gender woo' is 100% radical, oppressed territory and with which they can 'stick it' to the establishment.

True of course. I just don't know how it isn't sinking in by now? I would have expected a degree of distancing at this stage, yet they doubling down. I don't get it.

The Perpetually Aggrieved Parties. Weird how it's borders that make countries, and yet the Nationalist parties want to bring the borders down. It's collective suicide, they're architect's of their own destruction (and ours).
Lemmings all racing towards the cliff. 🤪

It has become part of a tribal identity as well as an article of faith.
