Does anyone have the text?

Thanks for the link, I'm pissed off the police have not done anything about this miserable bunch of nutters, how many more laws do they have to break before we see them arrested FFS.

I just find it unfathomable that a Government appointed service has had to move offices because of threats, and no one says this should be allowed to happen.

Let alone that it is a group known for their threats.

Would any other Government linked group that had to move because of threats get such little coverage?

Or is it, as always, that because the threat is by TRAs no one want to mention it.

After all it is all our roles to "be kind" to this vulnerable(??) group.

Bash Back has commented on Bluesky

BREAKING: After BASH BACK actionists took direct action against the EHRC's offices, the EHRC have been thrown out by their landlord. Let this be a lesson: if you rent your buildings to bigots, we will BASH BACK. And don't worry, we'll find them again. They can't hide.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Yesterday 10:18

They’re a government quango for fuck’s sake.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Yesterday 10:18

Is anything actually being done by anyone about it?

To state the bleedin' obvious: the EHRC were not thrown out by their landlord

And people complain about X 😂

With all these on-line safety laws the government is ramming through you'd think there'd be something law enforcement could use by now. It's on-line harassment and threats.

“I think one of the reasons why discussion has become so unpleasant in this area is because for such a long time, that dialogue was prevented from happening.”

I'm so glad she said this.
That's where "no debate" has got them.
It could have been different.
If they'd been prepared to act like adults and have a balanced discussion, we could have made inroads years ago.
Many feminists might have supported them to gain facilities and services.
But: "no debate".
So here we are.

WhereAreWeNow · Yesterday 10:35

I don't understand why no action is being taken against Bash Back. This is not peaceful protest. It is intimidation of government employees.

Wishesandhorses · Yesterday 11:29

Yes. Two tier policing in action. Again.

hholiday · Yesterday 11:48

But it's still abstract. It's still 'was prevented'/ 'has become'. “I think one of the reasons why discussion has become so unpleasant in this area is because for such a long time, that dialogue was prevented from happening.”

The implication can be misread as 'both sides'.

Not one side includes a gang of dangerous, violent, obsessive men who harm or threaten to harm everyone they come into contact with.

Janice Turner, also in The Times, is asking what it'll take for Bash Back to be classified as terrorists.

mrshoho · Yesterday 11:49

The Times revealed this year that Bash Back activists had published material that told activists to form “independent local cells”, “identify a target” — including MPs, organisations and political party conferences — and “ensure your target can be hit repeatedly until they desist” from their “transphobic” activities.

An equipment section listed items such as a hammer and advised activists to clean tools with alcohol or dispose of them after use “in unsurveilled residential bins”. It suggested stealing the equipment to avoid being traced.

Bash Back targeted the offices of the EHRC in October last year. A video shared on social media at the time showed members of the group smashing windows and spraying pink paint on the building.

Ffs! Is this not inciting violence and harassment? Come on Starmer. Where's your press conference calling these people scum and telling us they will face the full force of the law?

Trans activist group issues guide to ‘rarely legal’ direct action

Bash Back, which was set up after the Supreme Court ruling on biological sex, told supporters to steal equipment in order to ‘smash transphobia’

It's unbelievable, I don't get it. There must be some people who think these criminals need arresting. They can't all be in thrall.

Edited

I thought people could be arrested and prosecuted for sending threatening communications.

Would it be this? https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/50/section/181

I wonder how those who work there feel about this.

Not only should they be prosecuted, but in not doing this will only lead to these disgusting individuals to think they could get away with worse.

They’re terrorists, basically.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Yesterday 23:49

I’m pretty sure there is evidence to pinpoint at least one ringleader.
