and further to this, "about 1 in 100 insured youth ages 8 to 17 in the Pacific Northwest state were diagnosed with gender dysphoria". How is this not ringing alarm bells amongst medical professionals, parents and teachers? Its a disaster waiting to happen.

Over 1 in 250 Natal Girls Were Taking Testosterone By Age 17 in Oregon, From 2016 to 2023

This rate, from a study of data about insured adolescents in Oregon, represents an average over this period. Given swift increases in hormone uptake over time, the rate was likely much higher by 2023.

Horrendous social contagion.

I wonder if the situation is any different in 'red' States?

on the upside, they are building of an army of people who will crush this ideology when they wake up and the mists part, realizing they were lied to and their bodies were majorly harmed.

That’s true @dinodart, but awful that it has to entail so much harm inflicted on the victims of the ideology, for people in power and institutions to realise what a horror show this all is. It is infuriating when so many feminists have been shouting about this for such a long time, and receiving horrendous abuse for pointing out the obvious contagion in girls and young women; the comorbidities they are presenting with; and the harm they are suffering.

Thank you for sharing OP- I’m absolutely horrified. I’ve been to Oregon and it’s a beautiful state, but if anywhere in the States was going to have these sort of alarming stats, it would be Oregon.

'Insured youth'? Someone is making a fortune.

Most kids are on their parents health insurance and stay on it until 25 or 26

Many red states have limited or banned access to cross sex hormones for minors, and going by experience, the parents would be way less likely to go along with it than someone in Portland for example. Oregon is probably one of the most extreme examples of the left wholeheartedly embracing this and other insane policies.

This from Wikipedia about the East Germany doping programme: "While figures cannot be precise, the state-inspired doping program affected perhaps as many as 10,000 athletes. Not only was cheating at the center of the program, but so was the abuse of the athletes' health. Female athletes, including adolescents, experienced vitalisation symptoms, and possibly as many as 1,000 sportsmen and women suffered serious and lasting physical and psychological damage"
