A man having fun most of the night in the women's toilets. Can't make this up.

A man having fun in the women's toilets. FFS.

For Lexi, the ladies is a huge part of her new life living openly as a woman. “I don’t want to go back. I have my life”. There are nights out where she spends most of the night in the women’s loos “chatting complete shit with other drunk girls”.
“You’ll be in there and someone will say ‘oh I love your coat, and you’ll say ‘I love your hat,’ and you’ll have a great time, you’ll chat-chat-chat,” she says.
“I don’t want to give that up, not now that I’ve had that. I don’t take a second of my life as a woman for granted because I know what it was like before. It wasn’t fun.”

Fwiw, the only time I've ever knowingly experienced men dressed as women using female pub toilets, on a night out, they were treated like celebrities with women falling all overthemselves to be their friends and make them welcome in the Ladies.

And again, that's not how women treat actual women...

No and I don't think he's sayjng that. He's saying it's an element of the night out he'll miss. So be it.

I was responding to PP's claiming it couldn't possibly happen.

He says he spends “most” of the night in the women loos chatting. That’s bloody weird behaviour. Women don’t go out on their own and they certainly don’t spend most of the night in the loo chatting to randoms.

Ugh who knows actual women who hang about in toilets?

Especially just to chat shit with other women?

Men are fucking weird...

Clubbing in the 90s I saw plenty of women who hung out in the loos a lot and the occasional trans woman (yes, they existed then) and also gay men hanging about to have a chat and no one batted an eyelid. I did have some short chats with people, and yes, it could be a very bonding experience and often a memorable part of the evening (especially if you are British and seldom talk to strangers!), but there were definitely women who hung out there for a longer time, for reasons that are pretty obvious if you think about it.

Clubs are loud, as bars and pubs can be, and there weren't outdoor smoking spaces then, so often the loo was the only place to actually talk to people (and still are if you don't want to be cold or breathing in smoke). This isn't new, this isn't something this trans woman made up, it absolutely is a normal thing that happens on nights out and I have seen plenty over over the last 30 years. Maybe you haven't experienced it but it doesn't mean no one has.

But is it normal for you to spend most of the night in there and it for to be the thing you actually go out for? I honestly don’t know anyone, male or female, who most looks forward to hanging out in the toilets all night.

Datun · 11/06/2026 14:23

This bloke was apparently called scum by a man as he went to use the women's toilet in a shopping centre.

So he doesn't pass, isn't the slightest bit intimidated by a man objecting and, in my opinion, is talking made up bollocks about women chatting to him in the toilet. No one wears a hat and a coat in a club. And women don't talk to each other at the local mall loos.

Edited to add that I also think he's lying about being called scum. It's the self victimisation process in action. What kind of person continues to walk into a woman's toilet after a man has called him scum for doing so?

He didn't think his story through. Not only is it highly unlikely, it makes him look dodgy as fuck.

I can imagine - maybe your mates like dancing and you prefer chatting. Definitely seen some women holding court there. I mean, saying it's the reason you go out is probably hyperbole rather than that you literally spend all your time in the loos, but it can be a highlight to just hang out and meet with people in what can be the only place you can hold a conversation!

i've been to loads of clubs and I would seriously never even consider this as a concept, let alone an actual experience.

You've seen women hang out in the loos for extended periods of time hoping to chat to randoms?

That's not something I ever saw in my rather extensive career clubbing in the 90s and 00s.

Sure, you might spend a few minutes chatting to your actual mates in there - eg if a friend is upset about anything, or you want to talk about the guys who've been chatting you up (or get away from them).

But you wouldn't spend half the night in there, or look to chat to women you don't know. The odd word exchanged with women you don't know while you're touching up your lip gloss, maybe - usually about how skanky the toilets are or stuff like that. But nothing more than that. And I never saw anyone else doing that either.

It was never a core part of anyone's night out. Not if you were an actual woman,

Having a man describe the chance to hang around in a woman's toilets to bond with women as a core aim of an evening in a club just doesn't sit right. It's obviously weird. And - you know what - even if it was something he liked and misses, there are other enjoyable things to do that don't involve encroaching on women't spaces.

Why not just go somewhere that makes chatting easier in the first place? Instead of going out knowing you’ll need to spend all night in a bloody toilet to enjoy yourself? Seems mad to me!

Quite.

They want it every which way. They're victimised, even though no one knows they're trans. They're welcomed in the ladies toilets, but also called scum. They're no threat, but also no one is going to stop me going in the ladies, despite the ruling.

The only thing I'm really left with now is how so many people are still falling for it. It's difficult to believe. Don't they have eyes?

Fuckety fuck: ‘Super-rich lobbyists, like children’s author-turned-anti-trans activist JK Rowling, are directly impacting the law by donating huge sums of money to anti-trans groups.’

There’s a name for the people that JK supports. Women. Women. Not ‘anti-trans groups’. Ffs!

Do these self-absorbed people actually realise that women have rights???

In a word: no.

When I first spoke to Tegan, she was working in child care. A 15-year-old girl she was caring for asked her to start taking her swimming. “Luckily, in Bristol, the [changing rooms for the] swimming pools aren’t sex segregated, they’re just cubicles,” she says. But she was still certain that someone would have something to say about a trans woman accompanying a teen girl swimming.

'A man shouldn't be taking a teenaged girl into the women's changing room'. He was worried people would be saying stuff like that? He should be.

Who the hell hires a trans woman (aka man with issues) to take care of a presumably disabled 15 year old girl??

And why are these abusive men going to stay out of toilets if they're told trans women can't go in them?

They are already breaking the law by abusing women, does anyone imagine 'Oh, I really can't go into women's spaces now, I'll leave off abusing them in there in case I get in trouble'.

If somehow this ban is enforceable, is any one really expecting to see a measurable drop in abuse of women as a result? I can't see it doing anything to actually protect women. In fact it will open up more women to aggression and harassment because effectively it will be encouraging the sort of people (including men) who like to police people's gender expression to call out people they decide might not be female, and we know, for example, that women of colour are more like to be 'masculinised' and have their femininity questioned for example.

What kind of venues does he hang out in where everyone is wearing coats and hats in the toilets, is he visiting the 1940s?

Bus Station? 🤷‍♀️
