Zack Polanski and the code

Has anyone seen any comment from Polanski regarding the EHRC code?

As far as I can tell, he's conspicuously silent.

And bottles of urine coming by the looks of things, do they have any other ideas?

Pee in bottles is grim

Also a thing men can do

I also noticed how little attention is paid to the small voices of posters who are obviously really struggling with mental health issues - maybe not sure they're trans, not sure they even want to be trans, don't know how to meet other trans/talk to people, sometimes openly saying they're autistic. In short, struggling and lost. And they're ignored mostly, the popular transreddit threads are the angry ones.

I am often struck by the number of the mental health posts and it often worries me how little support these people are getting. I strongly strongly believe that they should be receiving high-quality mental health support in the round that enables them to deal with the other comorbidities that they clearly have - so often autism often cases of abuse et cetera they are cry for help and they are people who deserve help and they don’t seem to be getting it

EmpressaurusKitty · 23/05/2026 08:06

I’m sure lots of transpeople see through that hyperbole and know it doesn't have a basis in reality. But obviously many buy into it, possibly the younger and more vulnerable ones? and lots of them will be out tomorrow in Parliament Square.

Going by this poster, I can guess what’s going to be out & I’m glad I’m not going.

I helped to organise an event in Parliament Square once, & getting permission / liaising with the police was complicated & involved. I bet the TRAs simply get on with it on the assumption that nobody’s going to stop them.

The level of crudity in those lines is absolutely disgusting. I cannot believe people would stand there holding them.

I think this protest is going to send a very clear message that these men should NEVER be let near women’s spaces.

I think there will be about 10 people there to be honest, but they will all look mad

I wonder if that will fall foul of government's proposed legislation on conversion therapy? Does mental health therapy equal conversion therapy?

GreyskySexRealistsky · 23/05/2026 11:20

MarieDeGournay · 22/05/2026 22:59

'Scared and exhausted' - more hyperbole. It feels manipulative and cynical.

They have to keep the panic levels high, with the false threats of oppression, marginalisation, violence, days of remembrance when no-ne has died, annihilation, literal genocide.
That way they keep the trans community in a constant state of hypervigilance about things that never happen.

A community under threat of oppression and violence has the right to defend itself by any means necessary, right? So that's how to 'justify' shouting down opponents and smashing windows and hitting women - it's self defence, isn't it?
Because we're scared and exhausted and threatened with genocide.

I'm sure lots of transpeople see through that hyperbole and know it doesn't have a basis in reality. But obviously many buy into it, possibly the younger and more vulnerable ones? and lots of them will be out tomorrow in Parliament Square.

Brilliant post @MarieDeGournay

The constant hypervigilance must be exhausting

the devil will be in the detail. I have high hopes that so many caveats and examples will be carved out that no, non affirming therapy will be explicitly legal under the law.

I think it is. Here's Zack Polanski's Bluesky post, supporting Sian's statement and the GLP

"Our community is scared and exhausted but we are fighting back." It's important that all of us who stand with the LGBTIQA+ community support the Good Law project in their appeal against the high court decision. Trans rights are human rights. 🏳️‍⚧️ greenparty.org.uk/2026/05/22/s...

God help them. Good Law Project is just plain old bad law.

They’re really poor in their submissions and standing.

No chance it appeals but reinforcing the decisions high up is good for legal clarity.

MarieDeGournay · 23/05/2026 08:53

Look at this poster! Toilets toilets toilets. No other aspect of life where the Equality Act applies. Just toilets toilets toilets.
They are obsessed with toilets.

Does the 'T' in LGBT actually stand for toilets??🙄

Who’s the source?

GreyskySexRealistsky · 23/05/2026 11:47

From that piss poor poster: "And you will go down in Transcestry"

Transcestry? Doesn't even make sense.

The saying is " go down in history". That's HIStory..... he him his

CompleteGinasaur · 23/05/2026 11:56

Another dead giveaway on that risible poster (I mean, are they all about four?!) - no woman would automatically use the word "shitter" for a toilet; the only reason you would do that is if the only time you use one is when you, well, shit, and you stand up at a urinal the rest of the time..

God, she's so stupid. What services does it exclude 'trans people' from ffs? The servicing of male egos by females?

I, too, would like to know what ‘essential’ services trans people will be excluded from 🤔

Nothing at all. However, that doesn't fit in with the narrative.

Garble · 23/05/2026 12:56

RogueFemale · 22/05/2026 22:16

Just had a trawl through. They seem to be upset about pretty much everyone. BBC, Andy Burnham, Starmer, Phillipson, all newspapers, black women (yes a post entitled 'Black women and transphobia'), The Samaritans (its statement not aggressive enough), - you just lose count of who they're angry with.

In fairness, if I were to list out the institutions I thought were acting in an anti-women way, it would be even longer than that.

Are we sure the poster for the protest is real and now a pisstake?

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 23/05/2026 14:11

I got a feeling the statues around Parliament Square are in for another dousing, and with the sun being out maybe all the 'third sexers' will get their manboobs out as well. 🤪

Hang on a minute, pissing in a bottle just proves that they don't need access to female toilets doesn't it?

These are the kind of people who are probably most vulnerable to the high--inducing talk of oppression, marginalisation, violence, martyrdom, annihilation, genocide.
Instead of support, they get wound up into a state of anxiety and hypervigilance.

WallaceinAnderland · 23/05/2026 15:21

I actually do really feel for those people who have been lied to. They were told by Stonewall and by our own government that it was legal for males to use single sex facilities provided for females. That was wrong of them to let them believe they had rights in law which they simply did not have.

The government has totally failed them. All we have done is re-establish what the law always was so they have not lost any rights BUT they do believe that those 'rights' were taken away from them and I can see why they think that.

The government really fucked up, the NHS and the unions, in particular have caused so much harm to both women and transgender people.

They've let young people undergo medical intervention, I personally now know three young women who have had their breasts removed as casually as getting a haircut. I still find it unbelievable when I think of the damage done to so many. It's very sad.
