Zack Polanski and the code

Has anyone seen any comment from Polanski regarding the EHRC code?

As far as I can tell, he's conspicuously silent.

He can say whatever he likes about the code, his time is already passed. He achieved peak popularity on about day three of his reign. Before anyone had heard him say anything. He's pretty much a spent force now.

"Our community is scared and exhausted but we are fighting back."

It must be very 'exhausting' spouting all that violent rhetoric, all the stalking, the complaining to police, the doxing, the pile ons, the getting people sacked, the over the top hysteria. They must be really 'scared' because it hasn't worked, and they're slowly coming to realise that nobody's falling for the shite anymore. I bet they're scared shitless about now, they got nothing left with which to intimidate people with.
Whatever will they do now 😱

'Scared and exhausted' - more hyperbole. It feels manipulative and cynical.

They have to keep the panic levels high, with the false threats of oppression, marginalisation, violence, days of remembrance when no-ne has died, annihilation, literal genocide.
That way they keep the trans community in a constant state of hypervigilance about things that never happen.

A community under threat of oppression and violence has the right to defend itself by any means necessary, right? So that's how to 'justify' shouting down opponents and smashing windows and hitting women - it's self defence, isn't it?
Because we're scared and exhausted and threatened with genocide.

I'm sure lots of transpeople see through that hyperbole and know it doesn't have a basis in reality. But obviously many buy into it, possibly the younger and more vulnerable ones? and lots of them will be out tomorrow in Parliament Square.

What is this High Court decision of which he speaks?

Does he mean the Supreme Court judgment?

mrshoho · 23/05/2026 00:26

Imbeciles the lot of them.

I think it is. Here's Zack Polanski's Bluesky post, supporting Sian's statement and the GLP

"Our community is scared and exhausted but we are fighting back." It's important that all of us who stand with the LGBTIQA+ community support the Good Law project in their appeal against the high court decision. Trans rights are human rights. 🏳️‍⚧️ greenparty.org.uk/2026/05/22/s...

"support the Good Law project in their appeal against the high court decision."

The funniest bit in this line is not the Supreme Court mixup with the High Court.

It is the idea that the GLP are going to help the Trans activist cause.

As we all know GLP are huge assets for the pro-women side as they keep losing cases and making case law for our position stronger see the recent victory against the NHS for one example of this. Moreover it is pretty clear the GLP attempt to challenge the SC decision has more or less fallen apart as was obviously going to happen.

GLP just got paid huge amounts to shuffle papers and post more fundraisers.

Keep paying them money Zack though remember to get the Council Tax sorted first.

fromorbit · 23/05/2026 01:47

Also it is put up or shut up time. Are the Greens going to try an attempt to stop the code in the Commons or the Lords? Is this just words or will they do something?

"5.10 If there is no resolution within 40 days by either House moving a fatal prayer motion against the draft Code, the EHRC may “issue” the Code under section 14(8)"

The code is so bad then try to stop it. Explain why women's rights don't matter on record.

Green legislators have done this before. Natalie Bennett did a Fatal Motion against the Public Order Act SI earlier this year in the Lords. See here:
https://protectthewild.substack.com/p/a-dark-day-for-the-right-to-protest

Any Fatal Motion will fail obviously. However more open debate is great for our side. Lets see who actually believes in human biology.

A dark day for the right to protest as draconian legislation passes through the Lords

Just a matter of minutes ago the House of Lords voted not to block the Government’s absurd changes to the Public Order Act (2023)

Just had a trawl through. They seem to be upset about pretty much everyone. BBC, Andy Burnham, Starmer, Phillipson, all newspapers, black women (yes a post entitled 'Black women and transphobia'), The Samaritans (its statement not aggressive enough), - you just lose count of who they're angry with.

"Why does everybody hate meeeeee?"

I think he means the high court judgement on the interim guidance.
That's why he references GLP.

Zach P reminds of some student drama teacher who thought he would be a hit with kids but in reality they all thought he was a bit of prat. There was some article in the Economist (I think) about how many thousands of posts he’d made or liked. A massive percentage of the ones he liked were those praising himself. As for the trans stuff I always get the impression that as soon as something becomes less fashionable they just move on to the next. Climate change, BLM, trans and more recently Israel Palestine - next year it will be something different again.

💯 I agree.

He writes a very short post backing trans rights in a way that shows that he hasn't got a clue about the issue and can't be arsed to learn. He can't pass up a chance to show he's on the right side of history, especially when it costs him nothing (not even time to understand the issue or issue a proper statement) and can pass all the consequences onto women.

But he makes sure to support The Good Law Project, run by another glib, brogressive grifter. I assume he's hoping for mutual back-scratching from Jolyon.

Going by this poster, I can guess what’s going to be out & I’m glad I’m not going.

I helped to organise an event in Parliament Square once, & getting permission / liaising with the police was complicated & involved. I bet the TRAs simply get on with it on the assumption that nobody’s going to stop them.

See? It's. never. ever. enough.

One of these days, Zack is going to find himself at the wrong end of the stick with the TRAs, and we'll see then how he manages to wriggle out of that with his mental state intact.

What does this prayer motion thing require and what happens? Completely ignorant! 😂

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/05/2026 08:22

What does this prayer motion thing require and what happens? Completely ignorant! 😂

Basically it forces a vote and debate on changes to Statutory instruments.

A prayer motion can be used by members of either House to object to a negative statutory instrument. In the Commons, a prayer motion is usually a particular type of early day motion tabled against a negative instrument. Prayers can be ‘fatal’ or ‘non-fatal’.
https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/sn02569/

These motions virtually never win. The last one that succeeded in the Commons was in 1979.

Note non-fatal motions basically just register a objection without actually trying to stop legislation.

It will be very telling if no-one in Parliament actually tries something to stop the code no matter how pointless it is and we can also see who bothers to vote on either side.

Doesn't he just? He thinks he's going for the easy wins, like Gaza. He thought the restraining of the Golders Green suspect was a George Floyd moment, so he jumped in there. It wasn't.
He just doesn't have the understanding and intellect, and is relying on sectarianism to bolster his popularity.

🤢🤮. Showing their vulnerability and womanliness I don't think. Hopefully publicity and images from this planned protest will jolt more women into seeing why we need single sex spaces.
