There will be a protest at the Australian High Commission in London on Saturday 23rd May, 1pm standing in solidarity with Sall Grover. There will be speeches and possibly singing. Bring your banners. The organisers are @acts_grassroots who organised the One Year Later and 199 Days Later.

Wish I could be there. That's a great poster.

ArabellaScott · 17/05/2026 11:56

Great idea!

Whatthechicken · 17/05/2026 11:57

Sall will also be on GB News with Josh Howie tonight at 8:45pm UK time (5:45am AEST) .

For anyone going to this (and I wish I could make it) the TRAs are going to be protesting in Parliament Square tomorrow from 11am so best to avoid that area.

Uh oh - may need an umbrella, there will be peeing from bottles, bit like dogs in the park. And that's how we know "trans women" are men. Beware!

whitehandledkitchenlang · 22/05/2026 21:25

Gah, I've just got back from a day trip to see a terfy friend. If I'd known earlier, I'd have timed it better.
Big thanks for organising this.

Whatthechicken · 22/05/2026 21:41

Please come if you are able...we have organised it in only 6 days, sorry for the short notice. We don't think the TRAs will be an issue, they are quite some distance away, but the police are aware. If you've been keeping up with stuff online, opinions and news, I think it's safe to say that the guidance will not keep us safe from this pernicious ideology. It seems more people have sympathy for men than they do for vulnerable women and girls. We cannot lose. In Australia, these men have more rights than women, in Germany, they are struggling to protest. If you can, please come.

I’m abroad so can’t make it but good luck, I hope it goes well and stay safe.

Igmum · 23/05/2026 08:34

Good luck to the women protesting today.

Ozzycrunch · 23/05/2026 12:32

Just been there, a bit early. Great atmosphere, friendly and had a yummy Lamington baked by Mr Menno.

SirChenjins · 23/05/2026 12:34

Standing in solidarity with the women protesting today 💪💚💜🤍

Igmum · 23/05/2026 18:27

I just had to look up what Lamington was Ozzy (and correct my spell checker which wanted to change it to Leamington). Glad the cakes were with you and hope the rest of the day went well.

I completely support Sall and am furious at what’s happened but I’m not sure about protesting what another country’s judiciary/laws have determined. I’m sure similar protests that were organised in other countries about the FWS victory were derided here for the same reasons.

D0RA · 23/05/2026 18:36

Hope it went well

You really don't think people should protest the actions of another country? Not Russia's invasion of Ukraine or Afghanistan's treatment of women or South Africa's apartheid laws?

ArabellaScott · 23/05/2026 21:15

Sending all my best to the women of Australia!

Whatthechicken · 24/05/2026 12:22

What a fab day it was. Thank you to all that came and made it what it was. It was too hot to be dragging equipment around London though! From the feedback we've received the Aussie women were very touched and there was even solidarity events in the Netherlands. As @impossibletoday said The Australian did cover it which was fab. Listen to Sall's speech, she's so cool and defiant, hopefully the full version will be posted today, but most of it went on X @acts_grassroots.

It looked absolutely brilliant. The chants and placards were inspired. And Sall's speech was wonderfully ballsy.
How did you get a kangaroo and a koala at such short notice?
Well done to you all.

SinnerBoy · 25/05/2026 05:36

If nothing else, it will make Australian politicians realise that the world is scrutinising them. I'm glad you all had a good time there.

So you think the Pro Palestine marches are pointless also?
