Good for this father. It should not take High Court action for basic safeguarding, parental involvement and evidence-based medicine to be taken seriously. This issue sits within a much wider pattern where women’s rights, children’s safeguarding and ordinary boundaries are treated as obstacles to be managed rather than duties to uphold. We need institutions to stand by women, girls, parents and vulnerable children, not hide behind ideology.

This a very good comment.

As of May 2025, up to 139 children (under 18) were in receipt of either irreversible hormones or drugs to block their puberty, or both, from Brighton’s WellBN practice. While the majority being prescribed hormones – testosterone for girls wanting to appear more masculine, oestrogen for males wishing to feminise their bodies – were aged between 15 and 17 and a half, official records show some were under 13 years old…. Children this young have never been approved for hormones in NHS specialist gender services.

This is absolutely shocking. A doctor is being allowed to cause serious harm to children and the regulators are so pathetic and toothless they stand by and do nothing. This is a deep shame on our country.

I can't seem to leave a comment on my phone, but good luck to him with his action, I also hope there's going to be an investigation by the Medical Council as well. If they're treating children without consent, which a child cannot give, there's some striking off to be done.
