WoLF survey finds majority in the US support women's sex based rights

68.5% of voters define a woman as “biologically born female.”

  • This includes nearly half of Democrats and two-thirds of Independents, in addition to overwhelming Republican support.

Nearly 87% of voters say women’s rights are important in upcoming elections.

When asked what lawmakers should prioritize, voters chose women’s rights over “trans rights” by nearly 10 to 1. This is one of the strongest findings in the survey - and one of the most politically significant.

60% of voters said that prison housing should be based on sex, rather than “gender identity”. This is 12 points higher than similar polling in 2020, showing that as the public becomes more aware of this issue, the more they oppose it.

72% of voters oppose allowing male sex offenders and abusers into women’s facilities.

  • A striking 61.8% strongly oppose such placements. Even among Democrats, a majority opposes these policies - underscoring that this is not a partisan issue.

Nearly half of Democrats support women’s rights. Nearly half? I mean I know it’s a lot better than it has been but everyone should support women’s rights. (OK it looks like the question framed it as either/or but even so)

Interesting poll. Thanks for sharing it.

Looking at the 2026 survey Q22-26, it looks like whites, people over 60, and people with professional degrees are overrepresented in the poll. It's not completely clear for people over 60 because the age breakdown in the poll is different than the US Census data but the people polled are older. The census shows that 65-74 year olds make up 16% of voters, 75+ YO are 12%, and 45-64 YO are 33%. Spry says that 28% of the people it polled are 43-69 YO and 47% are 60 and older.

I wonder how that affects the results.

It was transactivism that chose to make women's rights incompatible with their demands. They can change this any time they wish, so that it no longer needs to be an either/or with never ending conflict.

Off piste, but it's about time that US Supreme Court judges were chosen by judges, not politians.
