Tedtalks

  • cancelled my talk about women’s rights conflicting with men like this, as soon as it was announced.
  • platformed him.
  • de-platformed me. I’m an Olympic champion; I have lived experience of sport.
  • I’m a civil rights lawyer & author; w expertise on women’s rights. I’ve taught Sports Law for 20 years.

For those that don’t know… this is Will/ Lia Thomas, the @Penn male swimmer who, in 2022, won the WOMEN’s @NCAA Championship in the 500y freestyle. Thomas had never qualified for the Men’s NCAA Championship.
The gap bt QUALIFYING and WINNING cannot be overstated.

The cowardice in society should shock me less, over a decade into the age of cancel culture, but it cuts every time.

I am appalled and disgusted. Trans women are men, it needs to be said.
Thank you for risking your own peaceable existence to point out this actual truth.

I am not someone who is that interested in sport, so for those like me here is a short biography about her.

As a civil rights lawyer I hope Nancy Hogshead can take action against this censorship.

TED Talks tried to suppress Colman Hughes talk back in 2023 because it upset members of staff. A blackman not bending the knee to BLM, the horror. 😱

TED Talks has long since lost any creditability it used to have, it's woke central now.

TEDtalks are broadcast on a radio station near me, and I am open to them, I give them a few minutes, and occasionally they are interesting - I discovered the amazing Snow Raven through a TEDtalk - but I'm afraid the overwhelming impression I get is one of smugness.
The very format of 'here's me up on stage talking to youse about me' may have been innovative at a certain point in time, but now I find it mostly irritating.

I didn't know they excluded speakers speaking 'wrongthink', but it kinda fits in with the overall impression they give out, so I'm not surprised🙄
