Radio 4 discussion about women-only football facilities and sex-based provision

Today on Radio 4 (which programme?) there was a proud explanation that there would be a splendid new football ground "for women". There was discussion on why women needed different facilities. But, if I heard correctly, it was to be in Brighton! Brighton, where every man is a woman, if he says so. How can anything in Brighton be "for women"?

I've just had a look at the schedule and the only thing I could find is that Woman's Hour apparently had a section on Afghan Women's Football. Not sure if that's the thing, and I'm too tired to listen tonight but I'll try to remember tomorrow. Someone prod this thread so I'm reminded!

logic, I saw that on Sky News earlier and thought exactly the same thing! Then I saw that it's Brighton and Hove FC (?) that are driving this. I'm not sure how much input (or money?) the council will have in this. Probably at least some, but I did think: how do they know they need women's facilities? How do they know who they are building them for?

It's just so confusing.

I saw it on the BBC yesterday, and did have a wry smile about its location. I'm not sure where we are with football. I think trans-identifying males cannot play in women's teams at this level.
