AidaP is scraping Mumsnet threads, and grading them

Honestly, this man is obsessed. He has now created a program to scrape and grade Mumsnet threads from this board.

What is this?

Oh yes, I have downloaded most of mumsnet and we will be doing embeddings of the content to try to understand how does the rot and hate builds and spreads.

I never had so much hate and delusion on my hard drive before 😅

I made pistachio brownies last night. They were phenomenal.

This has no relevance to dried grapes, I just wanted to boast.

Catiette · 30/04/2026 08:39

I spent most of yesterday resisting indulgence because of this thread.

My breakfast today was a Walnut Whip.

If we get to page 40, I'll be starting the day with Death By Chocolate.

(Pleeeease can we keep going on this to p40?!)

Alongside the academic advances already discussed on this thread (before we moved into food controversies) there's another potential scientific law I feel may benefit from further study.

I had to stop reading last night, because of mounting chocolate craving 🍫 😆

I still have scrappy bits of paper with so many recipes printed out from that Mumsnet thread about quick, family suppers.

I can't remember the name of the thread, though. I'd have to take a look at some of the recipes to do a proper AS.

I love it.

I need this thread, though currently we are eating up the freezer prior to a couple of days with no freezer access due to the hole in our dining room ceiling (and it being fixed).

It's so suggestible, isn't it! I don't think it would work with any other food stuff. I wonder if it's ever been studied!

I do wonder if all my recipe books are obsolete now we have t'internet. I came across a site called 'the curry guy' which had a recipe for air fryer naan.

Also browse a lot for crispy chilli fried beef.

2021x · 30/04/2026 08:47

I have just wondered back on the trans pages on reddit and I think something is shifted.

There are protest pages like r/transcirclejerk and I read a post complaining about the r/MtF thread is being invaded by cismen pervets and there should be boundaries. The original OP said I am not judging cissy porn etc... and there was a response that said "I am"

I wonder if its true what Az Hakeem has said that when these men actually hear how they sound they have a realisation that is how they sound to everyone else.

The ONLY reason I am not on The Google for both the recipe and an air fryer is the world food store round the corner which bakes the most amazing, fluffy fresh naans and sells then for £2 for 4, all day every day.

Now I want naans. With cardamom Bounty for breakfast pudding.

Agreed. I managed to get through the first round of chocolate discussions, but not sure I have the willpower for a whole morning of it again!

Full-day discussions of dry Weetabix, however, I could definitely cope with (what is wrong with some people??)

BackToLurk · 30/04/2026 08:48

My delight at the existence of poppets was swiftly dampened by belatedly remembering I’m vegan so the chocolates of my youth are all in the past.

I’ve managed to struggle on with some Green and Blacks ginger chocolate and a packet of Candy Kittens though. So not a complete disaster.

Are they not all interchangeable? Currents, raisins, Sultanas.

That’s one of the most controversial things I’ve read on here 😱

Perhaps we can ask AidaP to scrape it for us 😆

Fresh naan for breakfast...now that's a craving.

TWETMIRF · 30/04/2026 08:51

I also eat cream crackers straight out the packet. Occasionally I will put butter on but usually can't be arsed

Do you mean wafers?

Edited - oh sorry, I thought you said ice cream crackers.

I wondered why I hadn't heard of such a wonderful invention
