Maya Forstater's colleague (Luke Easley) trying to explain to her Lawyer (Ben Cooper) why Maya's writing was transphobic...

BC - have you read documents?
LE - yes
BC - did you read this context at the time
LE - I may not have read all the way from the top at the time.
BC - do you see where MF has said 'transwomen are vulnerable and should be championed'.
LE - it doesn't matter just where you start out, but where you end up and it ended up in transphobia and offensive and unfair comparisons
BC - The sequence that leads up to the particular tweet, about the material reality that women cannot 'identify out of' sex based oppression.
LE - its very complicated and it's putting my brain in knots, and I don't understand what she's saying and what she believe.

"Without identity there's just a corpse". He really was the gift that kept giving.

BC: Is your point that claimant must not express belief in importance, relevance, immutability of sex at all - because you think that's denying some people's reality?
LE: yes that's my view
BC: so when claimant says gender identity does not change reality, you find it offensive because she's denying other people's reality?
LE: yes
BC: You conflate identity and reality - claimant thinks the opposite. Is this fair?
LE: identify is reality - without identity there's jsut a corpse

What happened to Luke Easley, is he still employed by MF's ex-employer, fancy them swapping someone as brilliant as her for someone as rubbish as him. 😂

MoistVonL · 19/04/2026 09:09

That was hilarious! There were so many great moments when BC questioned the gender loons.

Which case had the pronoun-wielding trans identifying lass with their emotional support human, emotional support dog and their Mum with them?

From CGD website -

Easley serves as vice president of the board of directors for the 2055 L Street Condominium where CGD built a new headquarters in 2013

Was it Alison Bailey's case? Or LGB Alliance? I don't like to mock people who clearly need a lot of support, but the rather flummoxed reaction of the court on encountering the situation was quite entertaining.

That sounds like an impressive position for someone whose response to a well-reasoned argument is "its very complicated and it's putting my brain in knots, and I don't understand". Oh to have the confidence of a mediocre man.

Wasn’t that Jo Phoenix tribunal?

Really, I thought it sounded like he was a glorified landlord, was that his job when he worked with MF?

Seainasive · 19/04/2026 09:33

Not impressive at all. It’s the equivalent of chair of the residents committee

Seriestwo · 19/04/2026 09:33

It was Allison Bailey v garden court chambers and stonewall. First hearing. She is Kirrrin Metcalfe, was lead for trans issues at stonewall. names of mum and dog escape me.

He seems to work here, now.

These people don’t deserve any sympathy as they had zero tolerance for perfectible reasonable views, indeed biological reality. They had no compunction to the distress and trauma caused to women like Maya F, Jo Phoenix, Kathleen Stock etc. They drove the nails in that forced the women out of their careers. It wasn’t just to women.

its very complicated and it's putting my brain in knots,
I know just what you mean, Luke, I have had exactly the same response myself, so I can sympathise..

I felt that way when I was in primary school and faced with learning long division, whereas you, Luke, were an employee of a nonprofit think tank working on international economic development issues🙄

ArtShow · 19/04/2026 10:08

Anx we are paying for these useless people in their tax funded no job think tanks .

KkkIt · 19/04/2026 10:47

Lupus is a disease that is much much more common in women but more likely to be more serious in men. Differences thought to be linked to hormones (oestrogen in particular.)
No idea how it looks for transwomen (if they take oestrogen does that move them more towards female type.) But still might be important to focus on the biology not the identity.
