Sorry for the thread title – almost all of them could be called this.

Over on r/transgenderUK:
"The hate is largely institutional. The government is against us, the NHS doesn't want to help us..."

I see this so often. How in god's name is it possible that they are blind to the way the government and NHS have been bending over backwards for them? Just how?

OP posts:

I find engaging with anyone who uses 'cis' to be a waste of time – it's a dependable litmus test, at least for FWR – but appreciate that others make the effort.

Edited

I suppose that’s as good a way as any to make sure you never have to have your perspective challenged. And certainly a good way to avoid ever engaging with any actual trans people while you’re busy forming your opinion about their lives and experiences.

So hold on, if women fighting for their rights are berated for “being on the same side as Trump and Farage”, can we say those using “cis” are aligned with those noted pedophile apologists John Money and Volkmar Sirtusch, who coined the word in its meaning used by trans allies? If not, why not?

Is what you call “transphobia” from GPs themselves actually stating biological facts?

Nope.

"Stating biological facts" was what my grandmother used to say to my gay aunt in the 70s btw.

Then and now, imposing your own prejudices on how people identify, have sex and live their lives is poisonous gossip, nothing else. Speaks to something being missing in your own.

It appears to be outrage from grown adults that children aren't immediately given harmful, life altering drugs and that actual safeguarding is in place.

I'm frequently surprised but unsurprised by creepy adults saying the quiet part out loud but claiming that it's all 'transphobia'

Bertiebiscuit · 18/04/2026 22:09

Is 'transing' your child your way of proving your grandmother wrong because she was mean to your aunt?

Truth isn't prejudice, it maybe inconvenient but it's not prejudice, lies are prejudice, however, because they are opinions that are not based on reason, and people who are told lies end up believe something that is not true.

Gender identity isn't the 'new' gay, gay is same sex attracted, 'trans' is a maladaptive coping mechanism. It has no bases in reality, it can lead to a life time of medication that will not achieve the desired goal, because a human being can not change sex and humans can never been born in the wrong body.

Ah, no 😁 I'd need a fair ouija board, sweetheart.

Hi. The average wait for even a first appointment to see someone about gender dysphoria is about 20 years. Often more.

Trans people's existence is officially respected by the NHS - inclusive language being very necessary so that they seek treatment for pregnancy healthcare etc - but transphobia from GPs is quite common.

It's often difficult for transitioned adults to get care, and the vast majority of children don't get any at all. Instead, they are being doped up on anti-anxiety meds to cope with the effects of being denied treatment and constant, everyday anti-trans abuse.

The government shows some basic respect to trans people, but is often deeply transphobic in its messaging. It provides almost no services for them, and is doing nothing about the widespread, escalating violence they are experiemcing.

I've looked hard but it's no good I cannot find one single truth in this entire post.

Then I suggest you try talking to a trans person and ask about their actual experience. Because your opinion about their actual, lived experience isn't a fact.

I mean, there is proof - the letters received by trans people from the NHS explaining the length of delays (including those sent to young children years back, explaining they will definitely be in their 20s before they see anyone for care but there is no firm date) and various statements made by government.

But let's face it, proof isn't what you want. Ditto listening to trans people. You carry on. So will they, forever, as they always have.

TransParentlyAnnoyed · 19/04/2026 06:07

So if gender and sex are different, why are people saying their “gender” should enable them to access facilities for the other sex?

Oh I talked to a transperson. My 6 ft 2 ex. Who pinned me against the wall and threatened to rip me apart when I refused to say that because he was now “a woman”, that I was now a lesbian and should tell everyone that. Or when he threw dishes at me because I refused to accept he was female. Or lectured me for hours on “his reality”, refusing to let me go to bed or the bathroom until I agreed with him. So yeah. Talked to a transperson. Now what?

Trans women live as women, and most of them don't look like cis men. They therefore have been using women's toilets forever, i.e. going into a lockable cubicle. If they went into the Gents, they risk being attacked.

Meanwhile, cis male sex offenders go in the Ladies as well, because the public door isn't magic. Toilets are designated facilities, not safe spaces.

Trans women go in to use the toilets, that's all. Pretending they are a greater threat than the men who attack us wherever we go is ridiculous.

then maybe we need to work on men being more inclusive of gender non conforming men don’t we? The problem seems to men in both your points doesn’t it? Gay men, old men, disabled men and young boys are also in danger in the men’s. Should they be allowed into the women’s as well? If not, why not?

without using sexist, outdated, offensive stereotypes, please explain how a male can “live as a woman”? Maybe you are the one who can explain it. I’ve been asking for years and so far no one has. Maybe you are the one?…

soupycustard · 19/04/2026 06:38

Males who don't want to identify as males - whatever that means - should use their energy and patriarchal privilege to campaign for 3rd/4th/special/different spaces and prizes. There is no need to take women's.

This is nonsense!

Think about what you are saying for five seconds.

If it was 20 years, no one would be transitioning on the NHS before the age of 23.

There is plenty of evidence from the NHS which demonstrate you are talking bullshit.

And there's the pivot.

The argument is always about how unfair it is to associate sex offenders with transwomen.

This is always to distract you from the point that women have a legal right to privacy and dignity from males.

The threshold of unacceptable behaviour is therefore considerably lower than 'being a pervert'. The threshold of unacceptable behaviour is not respecting women's rights to privacy and dignity.

Which ironically in itself makes you act in a way that is unlawful. No need to do anything further than merely be in the women's.

Oddly enough.

My brother didn't go private. Neither did his mate who lived down the road.

They both went through the local GP and NHS.

Maybe it’s like some form of really exclusive school where you have to put your child’s name down before they’re born.

Or maybe the 20 years thing is an absolute lie.

It was revealed this week that 6000 young people under 25 have been referred to adult gender clinics per year over the last 3 years. Maybe the wait times are long because there’s so many people being referred to a service they shouldn’t be.

Gender critical propaganda because my child isnt getting seen immediately so I'm definitely right.

I understand the difference between gender and sex which is why I don’t understand why transpeople think their gender entitles them to access single-sex spaces for the opposite sex.

Perhaps you could clear that one up for me?

RedToothBrush · 19/04/2026 08:40

Esgender. Middlegender. Suspender. The Kingdom of Wesgender.

We need to modernise our society as sex is outdated and we should be fully replacing sex with gender as they are the same thing.
