Has just interviewed Susan Smith of FWS about the EHRC guidance. Great interview and she's taking calls now.
Shelagh is unashamedly gender critical but I think this is the strongest I've ever heard her on the subject.

Whenever I listen to LBC I'm taken aback at how much more 'free' the presenters sound when it comes to what they can say, because it's not the BBC!

Ian Payne was sneering about it this morning - I get the impression he really doesn't like women.

James O'Brien, on the other hand, actively despises women. Every time I've heard him in the last year he immediately launches into a tirade about either Kemi Badenoch or Liz Truss

Sheila and Susan were great. And Sheila wasn't taking any shit from Will 😄 He can fuck right off with his "there will be big scary trans men in the women's toilets now so my trans daughter (son) should be allowed to carry on using women's facilities" nonsense.

When I was a minion at the BBC years ago, Shelagh was amazing on pay. She travelled around the country, talking to women in all the regions about their conditions and pay and, for the first time, we were able to share stories about the appalling behaviour of (predominantly male) BBC managers and the fact so many of us saw stalled pay and progression compared with male colleagues. It doesn't surprise me at all that she's still firmly and articulately on the side of women battling injustice. Or that she found those values incompatible with working at the BBC.

James O Brian hates women like he breathes, you can actually hear his tone shift to contempt, when it’s a woman who’s dared call into his show.

Thanks for sharing that. I’m not surprised to be honest. She is definitely on the side of women, but fairness generally. I listen and have learned a lot from her shows about topics that I know little or haven’t experienced. I see her as a true champion for women, girls, and fairness. I would love to know if she’s amongst us here!

She's inspiring

I remember millennia ago when she was on BBC 5 radio, one of her male co-presenters said something that was a bit of a double entendre - it was unintentional, and nothing very bad, but Shelagh immediately told him to stop it at once, she had five brothers and could make mincemeat of him in no time if he carried on like that😁
I get the impression that she is still motivated by that spirit!
