I am certain this will do absolutely nothing. But, it may be useful to send supporting emails to MPs instead, not sure if there is any efforts to do so?

Force the government to rip up the EHRC’s transphobic guidance

It’s been a year since the Supreme Court's decision that accelerated the rollback of trans rights in the UK. It’s been a difficult year, but it’s also been a year of coming together and fighting back. And it’s working. Our people power just forced the...

‘We don’t know what exactly it says - but it’s bound to be transphobic (because everything is) so let’s rip it up before it can be seen’. Makes sense to someone I guess but I have no idea who.

Bump. The greater the number of people who realise how poorly the Good Law Project fits its name, the better.

ChurpyBurd · 16/04/2026 12:46

Even the title is so aggressively ridiculous.

'Force' 'rip up'

It makes me roll my eyes and curl my lip in a way that only dick-swinging men, high on the fumes of their own bullshit can.

Grifters gota grift, even the Tranosphere will wake up to this man's game, eventually. He needs to be challenged, can a lawyer he's targeted not turn the tables on him and force him into a court of law where he's confronted with his lies and then be struck off.

testmatchspecial · 16/04/2026 17:28

Can anyone explain the connection between the British equalities minister laying guidance about toilets and changing rooms in British offices and public places and Viktor Orban? What am I missing?

Daleksatemyshed · 16/04/2026 17:38

The arrogance is breathtaking, how can you force the law and the government to rip up a ststment just because you don't agree with it

OpheliaWitchoftheWoods · 16/04/2026 17:39

Well in one way its a relief that they're as nervous as we are.

ElenOfTheWays · 16/04/2026 17:57

What exactly is this supposed to achieve? The law will remain the same. The guidance has to follow the law or else it's worthless.
Don't the people who follow this numpty understand this? It's not as if it's complicated.
This will achieve the sum total of fuck all.

I think that’s what Sarah Phillimore (sp?) is doing with her defamation case against JoMo.

IANAL so may have misunderstood, but hopefully she takes him to the cleaners

Thanks for sharing. Definitely a good idea to send letters in support to dilute the activists' lobbying.

I have been wondering about this as I think Sex Matters said recently for supporters to write to our MPs and ask them to support the guidance. But we don’t know what the guidance is yet, it might have been toned down…

Shouldn’t the request to our MPs be to support the guidance as long as it faithfully follows FWS?
