A summer of sex in parliament

Isn't this just lobbying for the sex industry? Doesn't she have anything better to use her time in parliament to do.

She is running the campaign with Cindy Gallop, the “sextech” entrepreneur who founded MakeLoveNotPorn, an adult video website.

Yes that's what I thought too.

Disgraceful. Embarrassing and cringe.

How much has she been paid? Or have they got some juicy gossip on her so she felt obliged.

Samantha Niblett MP says in this article:

“The first time I remember seeing pornography, I was ten [years old], I saw it on a videotape, I saw it in magazines,” Niblett said. “And I sometimes wonder, having seen it so young but without being able to talk about it, whether that has shaped the person that I am today.
“It’s funny, just because I’m doing a campaign on sex education, it’s not because I’m this massively empowered, sexually flamboyant person. I’m not. I wish I were.
“If I could rewire my brain… It’s not too late, I’m hoping that, actually, this summer of sex is also an education for me,” Niblett said.

Wow. Maybe she should get some therapy and campaign about protecting children from porn rather than being a lobbying tool for Big Sex 😬

GinaWhoLikesADrink · 15/04/2026 17:22

Hahaha! Don't know how she kept a straight face while she said that 😂

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/04/2026 17:23

Kemi 😂

Thingybob · 15/04/2026 17:25

Well done Kemi.

As for Ms Niblett, WTF is she thinking. Here's another quote from her talking about the porn site,

“It’s a turn on, it helps you masturbate, helps you cum"

🤮

Imagine standing up in the HoC to announce how much you enjoy wanking. JFC these people are so unserious. This loon belongs on Onlyfans, not in parliament.

SionnachRuadh · 15/04/2026 19:50

No doubt Sir Keir Starmer thought Labour had instantly got more SERIOUS when Lloyd Russell-Moyle was deselected, but the iron law of Labour Party batshittery reasserts itself with this daft woman who wants to tell Parliament how much she loves dildos.

Or possibly she's just looked at the polls and decided to start auditioning early for her next job as an Ann Summers rep.

Datun · 15/04/2026 22:20

Oh ffs, it's so embarrassing.

They're like a bunch of fucking sixth formers.

Someone needs to stop them. They need to start running the country and stop talking about fucking porn and dildos.

we have to be the laughing stock of the world with this stuff.

That is a quite concerning comment. Who did thes belong to? Dad, brother, other relative, friend's house?

Brain bleach, please. This is seriously gross and yes I am clutching my non existing pearls. Hopefully she will be voted out at the next election.

SionnachRuadh · 16/04/2026 19:17

It's very strange. We've got a Labour government that's incredibly censorious, wants to regulate what we can see on social media, ensure that schoolkids don't eat fattening food, Ed Miliband wants boozers to drink warm beer to save the environment, Keir Starmer thinks Adolescence is a documentary and boys can be cured of misogyny by being forced to watch it...

And then we have Samantha Niblett, as if they're broadcasting a massive piece of eat your broccoli propaganda lecturing voters about our unhealthy habits, and then a presenter from Eurotrash wanders in and starts talking about dildos and butt plugs.

Slightly surprised that her professional background is in IT. I'd have bet money she was a teacher.

I saw it around that age too. Found my stepdad's stash - magazines and videos. Oddly enough it DIDN’T turn me into a shill for the porn industry. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Kemi Badenoch says it all:

https://x.com/GBNEWS/status/2044375894454620315

"It gives a whole new meaning to fiddling while Rome burns"

😂

She does throw out some zingers 😂

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 17/04/2026 00:33

I can just see the state visit

<In an 'allo 'allo style comedy French accent> ' .... and this Monsieur Macron, is our glass cabinet containing a collection of colorful dildos, gimp masks and Jazz mags tastefully arranged as a Union Jack ..'

or perhaps 'Black Rod' could get in on the act by pounding on the doors of parliament with rubber phallus at the state opening?

The mind boggles, don't they have more important things to do?

ElenOfTheWays · 17/04/2026 01:59

I think that politicians are probably the LAST people who need any kind of introduction to kink or porn of any kind. They've always seemed pretty well versed already to me.

HellsBells13 · 17/04/2026 02:05

When my adult son showed me on X, I thought it was a parody account. Alas not. Vile.

Doc Stock's article in Unherd is hilarious but, being her, not just that

https://archive.ph/0HCid

https://unherd.com/2026/04/spare-me-labours-summer-of-sex/?edition=us

Part of the problem is that images of people enjoying one another say nothing very complicated. Not being made of words, images tend to be simple like that. Gallop grandiosely claims that each of the videos on her site “is an object lesson in consent, communication, good sexual values, good sexual behavior”. But that’s like saying that a photo of Kew Gardens is an object lesson in how to grow roses. In fact, though, what we are supposedly seeing demonstrated onscreen at MLNP — respect, mutuality, loving concern for the other, or whatever — is the end result of a process that is still a complete mystery to many.

Nail meet head. Not that sort of head!

Spare me Labour's summer of sex

Niminy · 18/04/2026 10:45

Kathleen Stock's article above is excellent. Hilarious (watch out for the Aristotle quip), but also serious: sex education needs to be moral education. Some desires and acts are bad, and the language of consent leaves no room to say so.

That's a brilliant article. Damn, she's a clever woman.

And it takes a real skill to compile an article in the layers that she does, there. Whilst being quite funny and oh so likeable.

CapacityBrown · 18/04/2026 11:07

This always stank of a lobbying campaign, the fact that she kept mentioning that website says it all.

But she's got what she wanted. No one had ever heard of her before, she's now become a known MP and her friend has some free advertising for her porn site.
