We lost the right to expect others to accept our validity and lived experience.

Honestly, I can't get over this!

Who reaches adulthood genuinely believing that they have the right to be validated and affirmed in anything? Much less their own internal made up shit.

It's bad enough constantly going around wanting people to do it, it's absolutely crazy to imagine you've got the right.

Datun · Yesterday 10:11

So incredulous I said it twice

Dragonasaurus · Yesterday 12:45

We do, however, maintain the rights to completely ignore posters who have a) had the legal position explained to them many times before and b) fully understand the negative impact that their behaviours have on women - and still don’t care (male socialisation being pretty strong). Clearly these posters have no problem with the threat made to Baroness Falkner and her family - or at least not enough of a problem to mention it.

I am shocked (but sadly not surprised) that the Baroness believed herself and her family to be at risk, but these threats have been ignored by most the media for so long. I hope that the threats have subsided, and not simply been transferred along with the job - would we know? I would love to find a way to properly recognise Baroness Faulkner’s contribution.

GrannyAurora
And the nonsense is all the hate.

Oh, for pity's sake! What hate? I don't think you have the slightest idea what "hate" means. Quote me any on this thread. Any at all.

Pity, yes, and refusal to accept as gospel truth "facts" that don't match what you yourself have written; laughter at stupidity, sometimes; contempt, even; but hate? I too was once a sergeant attached to the horse marines of the royal Swiss navy, and the other one has bells on.

Can't edit, so another post just to add:

I am always amused by vast all encompassing claims to Rights, by people who seem never to have recognised a Duty in their lives.

And I am aware that laughing at people because they are making fools of themselves is a clear indication that I must hate such people, rather than feeling sorry for them....

"What rights have transwomen lost? The bleating about changing rooms and toilets narks me - there are more and more unisex facilities now for both of these. The only 'right' they lost, is the right to cheat and to be pandered to."

We lost the right to use the bathrooms that are meant for us.
We lost the right to certain protections under the law.
We lost the right to expect others to accept our validity and lived experience.

And, given the pure hateful spite of your last line, we lost the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Oh for goodness sake.

You never had the right to use women's spaces and resources, trans activists just mugged women for them, invaded and colonised them, drove women out who could not submit, and then lied about the law. You did not care and still don't care about women's issues in this, why do you think women ought to care about men's issues in being excluded from non consenting women's spaces, and women's legal rights resumed?

Your protections in law have not changed, they are precisely the same as they were. Rights for women, girls and homosexual people however have been confirmed, and the transactivist invasion and removal of them now has to stop.

This is the equivalent of whining that you're being forced to return the phone you mugged another person for, and them wanting it back or complaining is 'hateful' to you.

And what 'respect'? What exactly do you want me to 'respect' about this behaviour? And the behaviour in general that transactivism and transgenderism shows women and gay people? What is there to 'respect' in that? How are you respecting women and girls, explain this to me? What efforts do you make for their dignity?

You're demanding non reciprocated enablement and submission of bloody awful treatment of women. No. I have no interest in doing that for you. How you want to frame that does not bother me.

Oh fuck off, WOMEN campaigned for public women’s toilets to allow us to participate in public life before you were born. They are NOT meant for you.

They are meant for biological women because of the vulnerability that comes from our BIOLOGY. Being smaller, less strong and vulnerable to rape and pregnancy.

Campaign for your own bloody toilets.

Thanks.

I think that this will be great for us to use every time people are in any doubt about just how male people's demands that society treat them as if their subjective belief is material reality when it is not, is in direct conflict with female people's needs.

I have bookmarked it for just that purpose because this is so helpful. Thanks

Has anyone heard of Men identifying as trans being chased out of the 'bathrooms' i.e. Gents? I don't think I have. And it's a nonsense anyway with the increasing number of unisex toilets.

The real people who are discriminated in this respect are those with mobility issues. A disabled person can't just go out and assume that they will find an accessible loo.

So quit your moaming trans identifying men. You call it 'hate' because you have been called out on your behaviour.

IwantToRetire · Yesterday 17:26

Seriously!

Out of respect for Baroness Falkner can we not just for once have a thread that is about someone who has been proactive and positive in forwarding women's sex based rights.

By replying to a derailer, who obviously actually doesn't care about the sidetrack otherwise they would have crated a thread, it just means that yet again women are being drowned out.

Moreover who has the time or wants to validate someone by responding to them.

It just an open invite for them to keep coming back.

Its a piss take.

I haven't followed Lady Falkner closely, as I am not in the UK, but what I have read about her seems to me that she's an important voice for women and girls.
💐 to Lady F., a women with a spine of steel.

It's ridiculous, isn't it. God knows how these people think they come across.

She also told me about something called hash tags.

😆
