We've discussed before the cosy relationship some charities in Scotland have with the Scottish government, and the way its funding ensures that charities are compliant with government policy, but this spells it out:

It feels corrupt - surely there are elements of this that are illegal?

Thanks for the link

According to Alex Neil, who served in SNP governments under Sturgeon and Alex Salmond, including as health secretary, the administration would regularly ask “friendly” charities to support it publicly with controversial policies. He said any link between funding and the requests, often made by SNP special advisers, was always implied, but that it was understood their dependence on the government meant they would almost always fall into line

I always wondered what the hefty charity donations were all about. Ow it’s clear - buying 3rd party validation

It's an excellent article, confirming what some of us have been saying for years.

Excellent article, thank you. It's enraging. No wonder my country is the way it is, they are all in it together. So corrupt.
