'Actual fact' made me laugh like a drain. They're beginning to sound like like a Chris Morris sketch every day.

Cake anyone?

I’ve learnt the hard way not to mess with my Shatner’s bassoon, thanks.

murasaki · 27/03/2026 18:30

Joss Ackland's spunky backpack for the win.

Or not.

solerolover · 27/03/2026 18:57

Joyce claimed it is an “actual fact” that “One hundred per cent of everyone who’s ever been pregnant is a woman whether they like it or not.”'

Unsafe! Genocide! Literal violence!😖

'...the media regulator has opened an investigation into the rightwing channel’s transphobic hate.

Ofcom will examine a discussion between Ian Collins and Sex Matters’s Helen Joyce on 23 June 2025, when the host suggested that “non-binary is just an invented thing” and Joyce claimed it is an “actual fact” that “One hundred per cent of everyone who’s ever been pregnant is a woman whether they like it or not.”'

😱

Well that's my world in tatters 😫

SirChenjins · 27/03/2026 19:03

Are they actually going to present a biological man who's pregnant as evidence of the falseness of Joyce's claim - because I cannot wait to see this!

'Ofcom have decided that on 9 July – when Julia Hartley-Brewer asserted without any challenge that “by definition, if you’ve had to get a piece of paper to say that you are a woman, you must accept then that you are a man” – the transmission “did not raise any potentially substantive issues” under the Broadcasting Code.'

I couldn't find the actual link so here it is:

For those thinking that Joyce was caught in a rare moment of exasperation, you'll be disappointed to note that it was the host Ian Collins.

The quote:

"But first this - judges no longer have to use a defendant's chosen gender after a Supreme Court ruling that says sex is based on biology. The ruling of course states non-binary identities don't have legal status and courts can reject preferred pronouns. By the way, spoiler alert, non-binary is just an invented thing that somebody came up with. You won't find a biologist that can put their name to that. Um so courts can reject preferred pronouns."

TalkTV (especially Julia Hartley-brewer, but other as well) loves trying to bait Helen, but she never takes it.

There’s this survey too. Tell the fox killer what your political priorities are.

This is literally the saddest of sad times in the history of sad times.

YouthVitalityFrostbite · 27/03/2026 19:44

the rightwing broadcaster didn’t invite a single person to respond

They certainly missed a trick - if all it would take to make the GLP happy was a single person responding, they could have got the venerable Dr Butterworth in to gasp every now and then.

MoistVonL · 27/03/2026 17:58

Joyce claimed it is an “actual fact” that “One hundred per cent of everyone who’s ever been pregnant is a woman whether they like it or not.”'

My giddy aunt, whatever will she say next - that the earth orbits the sun?

Or even gasp 100% of people with a penis are men 😱

TwistedWonder · 27/03/2026 19:50

The fox killer really is the batshit gift that keeps on giving.

More fool any mug supporter who throws money at his dead horses. They’d be better off taking their life saving to paddy power to bet on Dagenham & Redbridge winning the Champions League at odds of 57 gazillion to 1 - about the same odds as Jossy boy ever winning a case

There were reports that the Good Law Project was not making a good profit. What about Garden Court, Kneeler's/ Stonewall's pal and Maya's enemy?

It really is worth having a read of the Ofcom bulletin (it came out on Monday). Ofcom are v bitchy in their reporting of their decisions. A jolly good read.

Shouldgivethisup · 27/03/2026 23:17

And one of the items featured a trans woman but appar she’s the wrong sort of Trans for JM’s gang

DeanElderberry · 28/03/2026 07:48

Who designed their site with those horrible colours?

I tried, but it seems Ofcom bury it in some kind of reader-defensive powerpoint system. I had to admit defeat in the end.

This link is to a direct download of a pdf of the Ofcom decision I think pp is referring to, if it helps:
