They spelled 'boys' wrong. When are the BBC going to give up this nonsensical rhetoric about CHILDREN??

A close up image shows a pair of hands adjusting a red and grey striped necker on a person wearing a girguiding T shirt.

Transgender girls told to leave Girlguiding groups by September

It follows an announcement in December that transgender members would be banned from joining.

Oh good grief. Come on BBC, you’ve been doing so much better recently and now this. Where are the interviews with the many girls, parents and Guiders who really value single sex spaces and who were deeply uncomfortable with Guiding becoming all about the men and boys? Where are the interviews with the Guiders thrown out of the movement because this ideology cannot survive without limiting free speech and crushing dissent? Where is the coverage of the TW volunteering and working with young girls while his social media feed was full of pictures of him in bondage gear and holding guns? Call yourselves journalists? You’re propagandists.

Same in the Telegraph. It is completely misleading. For the benefit of anyone thinking that we are being hateful:
Girl Guiding is for girls.
So the parents of boys shouldn't send them to GG because they are boys.
Girls have a right to not always be with boys if they dont want to be, especially in the context of group overnight trips etc. Safeguarding rules need to apply.
If parents don't want single sex provision, they don't have to join GG and they could instead, for eg, go to any mixed sex group such as Scouts.
If GG want to change their constitution to become mixed-sex, they presumably can. But they can't say they are for girls and let in boys.
And to be clear, a 'transgender girl' is a boy.
GG are not stopping trans children from joining.
Any girls can join, if they want to, including, obviously, girls who believe they are trans-identified, ie 'trans boys'.
As ever, this.is nothing to do with 'trans' . This is to do with girls being allowed their own spaces, away from boys.
