Very sad to hear this. Rest in peace Jenni.

O that's very sad. Lovely Jenni. For years and years she was one of those people who almost feel like part of the household as they chat away to you in the kitchen.

I wish she had lived long enough to have been fully uncancelled.

This sums up exactly how it feels. RIP Jenni.

Supporterofwomensrights · 20/03/2026 20:06

Really sorry to hear this. She has a legacy to be proud of.

RhymesWithOrange · 20/03/2026 20:08

Oh how sad. She was fabulous ❤️

NotMyRealAccount · 20/03/2026 20:11

RIP Jenni. A good steadfast woman with no nonsense about her. I too wish she could have lived to see herself fully vindicated by history.

(Edit: Spelling.)

Very sad to hear this news about the marvellous Jenni Murray today. I'm another one who stopped listening to Woman's Hour after she left.

daffydreams · 20/03/2026 20:21

jenni wrote so much & honestly on her weight struggles,

As a woman obviously her worth was measured in how slim she was,

she willl be missed

ArmchairSuccubus · 20/03/2026 20:21

Oh that is so sad.

MassiveWordSalad · 20/03/2026 20:28

Rest in peace Jenni.

Boudy · 20/03/2026 20:30

Fantastic woman.I too stopped listening to Woman's hour after she left. Tried a couple of times but nah!

MrsOvertonsWindow · 20/03/2026 20:33

So sad. She was a great broadcaster. I'm another one who stopped listening after she was bullied out of WH for her views.

A real loss.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 20/03/2026 20:37

A wonderful woman, and a wonderful Yorkshire woman at that.

Agreed!

JustPlainStanfreyPock · 20/03/2026 20:38

I've really missed hearing her voice on the radio, and like many others never warmed to the post-Jenni WH. So sad that she has gone too soon, RIP and condolences to her family and friends.

StrongPoison · 20/03/2026 20:49

Sad news and RIP to a woman of integrity

Iamnotalemming · 20/03/2026 20:50

Oh I can hear her voice in my head! So distinctive. What a legend.

Menarenotcool · 20/03/2026 20:51

Amazing woman. Good to see she’s now headline daily mail. Cheerleader for a generation as their banner. Absolutely.

LightDrizzle · 20/03/2026 20:54

She was wonderful. A brilliant journalist and I spent many, many happy hours listening to her on Woman’s Hour over the years.

Sympathy to her family.

Thank you Jenni 💐

guinnessguzzler · 20/03/2026 20:59

Sad news. I remember my Mum listening to her on WH when I was growing up.

Ohpleeeease · 20/03/2026 21:00

LaurieFairyCake · 20/03/2026 18:33

I’m shocked it’s not the number 1 story on the Daily Mail, she wrote for them! It’s not on there at all.

she was a great writer. Flowers

It is now. Top story and a very long article about her.

dudsville · 20/03/2026 21:15

I have so much love for her, I'm so sad to hear this. She was a rock.

Datun · 20/03/2026 21:26

Gosh that's a bloody shock. I'm sure I only just read an article that she wrote recently.

The BBC should be fucking ashamed. They kicked her out for standing up for women on Women's Hour.

A true feminist, unafraid, and principled. And when she took women's side, something she was bloody paid to do by the BBC, they kicked her out in favour of cross-dressing men.

RIP Jenni. You were totally vindicated.

littleburn · 20/03/2026 21:29

I am so sad to hear this. She was an absolute hero.

FranticFrankie · 20/03/2026 21:31

Aww Jenni
RIP

underthehawthorntree · 20/03/2026 21:32

So sad. Such a loss for us all. WH is so rubbish these days. Has precisely nothing to recommend it now that Jenni and Jane have gone.
